Hi Ray. You mentioned that you have the tail servo installed from the bottom and the ball pointing down. Is there any advantage to this? The ball doesn't hit the servo body? I miss CT, I'm from your neck of the woods. Miss Time Machine. But the times have changed on us. Clear Skies!
I need some help with the setup on my Raw 420. I am flying it at 2700, 2750 rpm. I only get 3 minute flight times. Not happy with that. I have Maniax 2400 mah 6S packs that seem big. I am use ING the RT 420 mm blades. You are flying at 2000 rpm ? It still flies good lowering the rpm ? Did you increase the pitch ?
I fly at 2800 head speed with at 1800 mah for 3 mins ,2800 seems like the sweet spot for the heli ,I like the lighter battery I get 3 mins flight time .if you want more flight time you need to lower head speed not much to it than that along with the 2400 mah battery
I already own a Sab 380 Buddy. Do you have an opinion comparing the two? Is the Raw 420 large enough that it feels more like a well mannered 500 size? The Raw 420 has a lot of "cool factor" but I am trying to decide if it is different enough from a Buddy to warrant the expense. Thanks for the feedback! :)
It's definitely a better flyer than the 380 it flies big like a 500 the new one is very light agile and fast and just hangs in the air Really just floats around up there so light I would definitely upgrade from A 380 The problem with the 380 was it was too fast for the small blades it was too heavy sunk like a stone never liked it I converted mine to A 420 years ago
There is a 420 stretch kit for your buddy 380 that you can do. 420 does make a difference, but imo it isn't going to feel like a true 500 size heli. I just know there is a significant presence difference between my g420 and my Logo 480.
