I still remember when my mom died 7 years ago I didn't cry that day. I just couldn't, I saw my dad crying for the first time in my life. After 2-3 days I just went into my washroom, opened the shower just sat under it for hours those tears were just strong enough to melt my brain away. This would continue for months. My aunt told me not to talk about mom with dad. I never did but my dad always mentions her. Whenever i am free and awake till late night I would see my mom's picture and would cry a little and go to sleep.

I always want to cry and hug may dad whenever he leaves for border but something inside me stops me to do so and I know somewhere he also wants to hug me but he doesn't, always maintaining his agressive look. Zakir sir your word have made me realise that it ok for a man to cry. I will share this to my dad and wish it make him realise too and I would definitely hug him whenever he is back.

My husband is also feels awkward to hug his mom!! I always feel strange.... But that's how you guys grown up... Nice poetry!!!

This was very emotional for me. After leaving my school the only person I ever cried in front of was my mom and as I have started leaving alone now I can't even do that and vent out my feelings. Many a times I cry lying on my bed because that's the only place a 'MAN' can cry because if they cry anywhere else they are considered weak by the society. But I am glad this poetry depicts this so well because "Jhoothe hain woh log jo kehte hain aadmi ro nahi sakte"

Crying is the best detox that is there. Its like house cleaning. By crying you release all the negative emotions and bad thoughts you have. And afterwards you feel lighten and releived. Like a huge weight has been lift off your head. Like the problem or worry that was bothering you never existed in the world. And that is the best and purest feeling as you are one with your soul. Crying is not subject to gender, it's HUMAN.
