"Sabai Sabai" in Thai culture or Cambodian culture meaning; to indulge yourself, to enjoy the moment, happy feeling, joyful, wonderful experience, feeling good, comfortable, comfort zone, just chill and relaxed, it's all good, happy time, having a good time, having fun with friends, family or loved one, chill-chill, pleasure, positive feeling like in Paradise.
If we can't change or control some conditions, So take it easy / be chilled = "Sabai Sabai". We will get more peaceful and comfortable life.....We have more free time for problem solving.
I like how the 'mangosteen' vendor was trying to tell you it's mongkut, in Thai. Legend has it that a farang saw the fruit and asked if it was a 'mango' and the vendor, being a bit of a smart ass, told him it was 'mang steen.' Prefacing a sentence with 'mang' is sort of impolite while steen means my foot or bottom of the foot (very disrespectful in Thai culture). And mangosteen was born!
Seriously ??? Khmer 'stole' from the Siam Empire. Khmer cultures that copy from Thailand , Word , Language , Food , Clothing , Music , etc. Oh! They were stole Angkor Wat from Indian Kingdom too. Khmer trying to be someone . 😂😂😂😂
Ehm NO … majority of modern thai came from SANSKRIT (50%), lesser part of thai words are from South chinese dialects, pali and khmer. Besides. THERES ALSO some other differences. Khmer is NOT a tonal language , while Lao, viet., Thai , chinese and burmese ARE Tonal languages. Not everything can be entirely compared to the khmer.
