*Ship does one funny then instantly sinks.* Actually I take it back, the ship did sunk the HMS Hood then only after 2 hours of bombardment and almost 3,000 shells, as well as the efforts of six battleships/battlecruisers, two aircraft carriers, thirteen cruisers, and twenty-one destroyers. No matter its country of origin it is, de facto, legend.
@@octomanuno2700 what makes it even more impressive is that when Robert Ballard (yes, THAT Robert Ballard) found the ship, he discovered that NONE of the hits below the waterline had penetrated, meaning IT WASN'T EVEN THE BRITISH WHO SUNK HIM, IT WAS HIS OWN CREW
@@ebinshumate3132 WOW, now that hits different. So it was unsinkable after all, if the crew didn't scutle it that is. But then again they also couldn't have kept up for much longer I guess.
Swordfish was slower than minimum speed setting on Bismark's self leading AA mounts. Had more success firing the main guns into the sea to try to flood the annoying little biplanes with splashes lol

@@ronaldthompson4989 if I'm not mistaken, Bismarck had the better range on it's guns too. That's why. But i agree. Maybe "It's not like us to be outclassed" works better.
@@joffreyverbeeck1640 yeah, his rangefinders were more precise (but delicate, practically useless during the last stand) and the newer german gun mounts reloaded about 30% faster. HMS Hood had parity in speed and gun caliber, but fair to argue she was kinda counting on HMS Prince of Whales to even things out, and she was so new she still had shipyard personnel on board doing final checks during the battle
