germany almost won the first world war but they'd made several critical errors in the early days of the first world war they had advanced faster than their supply lines could keep up and when the ammo the soldiers were carrying ran out they had to fall back giving up every mile they'd just taken, also didn't help that while germany was fighting england, france, russia, the us, and italy. their ally the Austrian-hungarian empire was focused on exterminating the Serbians and bosnians all because a handful of people pulled off the murder of their archduke. history now knows that picking bad allies, and making poor early choices in a war ultimately causes the group waging said war to lose.

They had sent a letter to the Allies saying that Ball was dead and that they had properly given him a funeral complete with military honors. They seem to tell the stories of the "little guys": the soldiers, not the nations they served. Like this song: it's not really about the war, or the nations in said war, it's about a legendary fighter pilot who was in said war. As a side note: Sabaton is the best history teacher I've ever had.

Yet here they do fall into propaganda trap. Historians who worked on Manfred von Richthofen story already know and told that he was far from the "honourable flying knight" people believe.
