The engine is built by Nordsabb om Norway. These engines could be ordered to run both CW and CCW. The lubrication is done by a small "pickup" on the con rod that throws oil onto the bearings and the liner. Newer models had pressure lubrication and an oilfilter mounted to the front of the engine where a pressure gauge could be connected as well. The large nut on the front of the head is for inserting a start cigarette - can be used to install a glow plug :)
Some of these start clockwise, some counterclockwise. This can be set by switching out the camshaft. They set them up one way or the other depending on how the engine is installed and the direction in which the prop must rotate.
Great engine got one my self, search for Sabb type G startup and you find it. You from Norway or Sweden? Anyway, when cranking you should stand on starboards side of the motor and use your left hand to crank and right to turn over the de-compression.
