There is a special blessing on the Sabbath and that blessing is only hindered because of the observer. Jesus fulfilled the Law , keeping the Sabbath, fulfill because we did not and we’re under a death sentence. He fulfilled not removed the keeping of all the 10 commandments, the Bible says that if do not keep one commandment is counted as if had broken all of them. Jesus commandments are not the same as the Ten Commandments. Jesus instituted the New Covenant. The Old Covenant and the New Covenant are two different covenants all together. They have different laws and are not interchangeable. The New Covenant has the Law of Christ and there is no command from Him to the believers to keep the seventh day sabbath. He cannot contradict Himself. He is God the Son, the Second Person of the Triune God. The seventh day sabbath was given to the Israelites to be the sign of the Covenant between God and them. No way that God is going to turn around and said that it was meant for the whole world.... The God of the Bible is not the source of any confusion. It is from the evil one.

After Calvary, these sacrificial Sabbaths had to go because the event they were foreshadowing had already taken place 31AD. But the Creation Sabbath of Genesis wasn't sacrificial, it was moral and everlasting because it reflects the character and government of God 2. True prophets have never been popular throughout Bible history, that's why you are stoning EGW. Mt.23:37. She never understood the covenants, the role of the law, the final atonement at the cross, that the church is God's temple and it is us who are cleansed by his blood, not some building up in heaven. The premise of SDA teachings is based on a mishandling of the book of Daniel, and that has been the course of action for Ellen G White throughout her whole "ministry". She mishandled one scripture after the other in order to perpetuate her false teachings. She added to the law. She hates the cross and clings to the a bizarre amalgamation of old covenant and demonic dietary laws (I say demonic because that's what Paul calls things Ellen teachings concerning diet) that she tries to force into the new covenant. Her teachings are anti gospel, and thus damnable. The good news is you can pick up your Bible, and read it for what it says. Jesus himself says he who believes in him has passed out of judgment. As an ex-Adventist, the Sabbath was the hardest doctrine for me to renounce. I thought their other teachings were wrong, but I thought they had a point regarding the Sabbath as there are no verses in the Bible indicating that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday. Then I read thoroughly Hebrews chapters 3 and 4 which states that a believer’s sabbath rest is in Christ. This realization was further strengthened when I read in Colossians 2:16-17 wrote, “So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.” (NKJV). When I coupled Hebrews 3:7-4:11 with Paul’s statement that the Sabbath was a shadow of things to come and that the substance is Christ, I realized that all believers have a permanent Sabbath rest in Christ-the weekly Sabbath law was fulfilled in Christ. Therefore, believers are no longer under any obligation to observe the seventh day Sabbath. The Sabbath was a shadow what was to come-a permanent rest in Jesus Christ. This rest is forever and not just once a week. There is no Scripture that mandates Sabbath or Sunday observance for Christians. Although you are free to worship whenever you want, many Seventh Day Adventists make it a matter of salvation. I have a problem with that as salvation is only by faith and not works.

These come to mind: 1 Thessalonians 5:9 Romans 5:9-10 I really love Isaiah 26 (read the whole chapter) but particularly the last 2 verses: Isaiah 26:20-21 [20] Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. [21] See, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed on it; the earth will conceal its slain no longer. Jeremiah 30:7 How awful that day will be! No other will be like it. It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be saved out of it. Adrian, I'm not sure we can say this is "irrefutable" in the sense that we can "prove" there will be a pre-tribulation rapture of the church, but this text does fit together with others to strongly suggest that a rapture is likely. I hold the specifics loosely regarding the timing of the rapture, but more and more I see evident to suggest that the Lord will take us to Himself before He pours out His wrath. Here is a wonderful text from the letter to the church at Philadelphia: 10 'Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 'I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown. (Rev 3:10-11 LSB)

I don't believe you watched the video. Most of the Adventist comments here, like yours, do not engage with what is presented. If you want to understand why Colleen says what she says, carefully read the Bible for yourself. Start with Galatians, which was written by Paul to combat those who were trying to put Christians under the old-covenant law, including the Sabbath. Galatians will give you Biblical information including when the law began and when it ended. The idea that the law is divided into moral and ceremonial parts isn't there. The whole law either must be kept by Christians, including the dietary and sacrificial laws, or it all ended when Jesus died on the cross, and the New Covenant law of Christ began--a law written on our hearts not on tables of stone. Read your Bibles, Adventists!

Read Galatians every day for a month. Then read Colossians from beginning to end. Read Hebrews from beginning to end. When the book of Galatians is read in context it becomes clear to believers. Hagar and all she represents must be put out into the wilderness. Believers are to embrace what Sarah represents.
