Abstract:
Prof. Meyer gives instructions on phrasing and articulation for the beginning of the Andante. A harmonic change must be accompanied by a change in timbre. It is important to distinguish between articulation and phrasing, to round off and make the short figurations sound more 'improvised.' They also review dynamics and intonation, and she notes that the music needs to be 'spoken' more: expressing with each note, from beginning to end.
