D.O. is such a perfectionist and always tries to be as respectful as possible when speaking/singing in another language. He practices enunciation and accents (like rolling the r's) until it sounds natural. It comes across a lot when there are English lines in their songs too, as he doesn't have the common issue of not being able to pronounce things in English when certain letters, or combinations of letters, are involved. He's just one of those types that does everything 110% because 100% isn't good enough for him.
I agree that his pronunciation in various languages are excellent. I am a native mandarin speaker, and feel that D.O.'s Mandarin during singing is really really good considering the fact it is not his native or mother tongue
@@AthenisKS81 in my opinion, tonal languages are easier sang than spoken. Bcoz during singing, you don't have to worry about the tonal portion as you follow the tome/pitch/melody (i.e. doh-re-mi). So you just have to concentrate on getting the correct pronunciation for the vowels/consonants... For Mandarin, there are a few vowels that are not present in English, Korean & most other languages. Thus when listening to songs sung by non native/mother tongue singers, I pay attention to those vowels a lot. And D.O. has done them pretty well so far. :)
This reaction made me cry to see how deeply moved you were. I've always believed that music can transcend language, but this goes even above that. The fact that they took the time and effort to learn this song in Spanish for their fans in Mexico made it even more special. They are in Chile right now for an SMTown concert. I wonder if they will do another song in Spanish for their performance.
EXO prepared this song for the Mexican fans in 2014 Kbs music bank concert in Mexico.....they were the only performers to prepare a Mexican song among all the artists.

Jonghyun (Shinee) sang “Y Si Fuera Ella” by Alejandro Sanz, not only did he sing the song but SM Entertainment where able to buy the rights to the song for Jonghyun to be bale to make his own version of the song in Korean (new things added to it) re-titled “Hyuna”.
The guy with that beautiful deep husky voice who is playing the guitar is Chanyeol, the main rapper of the group. He’s very talented as he can play different musical instruments. He can also write, compose, and produce music. He’s also a DJ, model, actor, MC, etc. More EXO, please.

I imagine it must have been really overwhelming to see a foreign artist with such a huge following sing in your own language and play for a a huge crowd who natively speaks it. I would feel overwhelmed too. Music really does transcend language. This was 5 years ago and it still amazes me every time. Glad you enjoyed it!

Mr. Silvanscar, I only speak English, but the day this video came out I fell deeper in love with Exo. I was astounded also, Chanyeol, the musician, played beautifully. He is the main rapper of the group, plays guitar, electric guitar, drums well also. He is also a composer and music producer also. I think he's 26. This video came out in 2014, still young, but it goes to show how they are thoughtful enough to go that extra mile to please their fans. This was a sold out concert in Mexico. Right at this moment they are on a plane from LAX to Chile, I think a 13-hour flight. May I suggest a video to react to, it's D.O. (Kyungsoo) and Chanyeol on piano at one of their concerts in 2015. The song is a beautiful song called "For Life". They perform a shorter version of the original. [Just type in D.o and Chanyeol - For Life (English Version)]The original "For Life" has a music video, which is good too, but in Korean. I would greatly appreciate it. I would've suggested Sabor a mi if a long time ago if I thought you would've been interested. But why the tears? You were about to make me cry. Con esta canción caí más en su encanto, ya me habían empezado a gustar pero con este, wow, fue realmente sorprendente. Su español fue increíble, especialmente el de Do Kyungsoo (el primero que cantó). Su español sonaba bastante natural.

Aww, it's so touching to see your reaction. This performance actually got a lot of attention in Mexico when it first came out, and then again after the recent World Cup. I think I understand how you feel. It's touching to see someone go through the effort to perform in your language. I mean, they could have just performed their own song but they went above and beyond and it makes one feel appreciated and grateful. EXO routinely does this during Music Bank special concerts. This was the first one I think, the next one was when they sang Nguoi Ay, a Vietnamese popular song, in Hanoi; and the most recent one was when Chanyeol sang Wind of Change in Berlin. I didn't know this song before EXO sang it (I also did not know Corre before it was performed in this same concert) and I came to love this song so much through this performance. I know the whole song by heart. I also discovered Nguoi Ay from their performance and also came to love that beautiful song. It's extra nice because it's a concert for kpop songs but they kind of promote local songs - sort of saying that hey we hear your music and we find it beautiful too.
heechulliebabo They also sang in Filipino Language ("HAWAK KAMAY") when they held concert in Manila,Philipines sometime in 2016. It only shows how much they love their fans to exert great effort in learning the local language. Keep it up EXO.

I came back after watching 5 Latinos reacting to this clip. Now I can say that Sabor a mi has a special meaning (sentimental value) to Latinos (Mexicans) . 💯 It's heartwarming knowing that A Southeast Asian kpop group Exo singing this with all out (Heart and respect) .
