Thanks Manuel! I agree, I love the visibility inside and those windows are HUGE!! I also agree about that aft cabin, I did not expect that at all when I boarded the boat. So much room and comfort, this would be a great one for you to enjoy in the Netherlands and work your way round the Med when you win that lotto 😉
Magnificent, classic workmanship. This is not a show and go boat. This is handbuilt in Maine, like a Rolls Royce. It's built for colder climate and conditions, hence the minimal deck lounging areas forward. It reminds me of my favourite boat an Elling e6. Dutch boat, with a semi-displacement hull. Single volvo 900 hp. With Trans Atlantic range, but can still top out at 22 knots. A planing hull like this Sabre can go slow, but it wallows like a drunken sailor, without that centre keel. This one made the little hairs on the back of my neck stand up as soon as I stepped onboard. I like trawlers that have a turn of speed to them when needed or wanted. Boats like the Fleming 55 can cruise all day at 7 knots, but hit over 17 knots when you want as well.
Now we're talking.. being 70 now I need my creature comforts and I love the look of those doors and cabinet covers in the bed rooms.. Actually I am thinking I might do something similar here at the house.. once it warms up enough to get out to the shop.. ;-)
If creature comforts is what you are after, this is the one for you. I had heard of Sabre before, but never made it on one until the Ft Lauderdale Boat Show. I fully understand and appreciate their demand and reputation now. This is a very comfortable, and capable long distance cruiser.
Thanks Randy 🤠 I love that this one can cruise in near silence at around 7 knots, or reach speeds of around 30 knots when you want that burst of speed. Either way, you are cruising in fantastic comfort and style 😎
Thanks David, glad you enjoyed it. As to the cleanup, this was one of the last boats I filmed at the boat show. My guess is it had a ton of people board over the few days which I'm sure didn't help 😉
