I have the 10 port version of this device, but it doesn't work on my Westen Digital My Passport 2TB external USB drive. I guess it's a power issue, this being mechanical in nature. Seems to work on most other things, but it has had issues with some printers.

@@Jaythetechguy Can this hub also be used without the power adapter if I only want extra USB ports? I need a larger usb hub and the only other one that Sabrent makes is 4 ports. I would like more ports. I do not need power, just need more USB ports.
