Sabrent provided me with their latest M.2 drive, the Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus and the PS5 Heatsink kit. This NVMe SSD is capable to have speeds up to 7,000mb/s. I will go through the installation, setup and some testing while playing.

You really can't go wrong with this or the Samsung 980 Pro.. I went with 980 for longevity encryption thermal solution ect.. 2 Great SSDs that takes PS5 to the Next level..

I have the 2 TB and only got 5855 for speed hooked up direct to fiber.

After installing this drive the PS5 overheated twice so I've removed it. anyone else see this issue?

Did you install the corresponding heat sink? Without a heatsink the SSD overheats.

Are you suppose to remove both stickers off the heat sink and the ssd ?

Do you know why my sabrent rocket 4 plus 1 TB only reads 5800 MB/s in my ps5? Every video I see shows 6500 and up but the same drive in my ps5 did 5100, 5500, 5800,

That is because 6500 is perfect scenario best case tuned and tweakeds on certain benchmarks. The PS5 first hand cannot do them kind of speeds second of there is not much real world application for them speeds. It is just like my Samsung 980 Pro can do up to 7000/5000. Meaning it can do more than enough.
