2023: "man im kinda missing the 2010s but i dunno which song to listen to to make me feel nostalgic- *autoplays close to me* AYO TURN THAT SHIT UP RIGHT THE FUCK NOW"
Actually... No. First, I counted all of the obvious "Close to Me's" Way more but i didn't add them. Then I added all of the echo's saying "Close to Me" And I got 81. About 60 Close to Me's.
What I like about that boss fight in JSAB is that the friend is still aware when he's corrupted by the pink. Like he's crawling towards you for help during that one section before he gets corrupted again.
its been 4 years since i first heard this and the nostalgia is killing me. i played this game all the time in november to december 2019, quite literally the last two months of normalcy for me. every time i listen to this song, i just get reminded of how good things were before 2020 hit and just want to go back, so bad. thank you Sabrepulse for this amazing song and thank you to everyone on the JSaB team for this beauty of a game.
But then gets saved, and dances happy and wears two triangles bc why not, and not sad, and revived a shattteted triangle to save the word and wants it back

You should see what the REZ ost is like it was made in 2001 with really good sound quality and music. So a song from 19 years ago still sounds good now.
“What are you playing?” “Just Shapes And Beats.” “Oh, I’ve heard of that before! Can I play?” “Sure, but we’re stuck on a pretty hard level.” *What felt like ages later* *”What do you mean, pretty hard?”* -The conversation I had with my cousin and his friend when they threw me into Close to Me without telling me how to play the game, 2018.
It's really emotional, this boss. Also, random. The patterns it calls are always random between the claw hands, the saws and the cog. Not to mention, this is literally the Factory boss, so no wonder it's so hardcore. Also, about lycanthropy: Am I the only one amused on how the creature there wiggles on its first pattern? xD It's like "Woo, look how I dance!".
2:58 - 3:36 has to be the best part for me definitely... But the song as a whole, oh my god it's such a bop. SaberPulse did such a good job when making this. Thank you SaberPulse, you always make my day!
I think this song perfectly encapsulates the feeling of having to fight someone you once knew, whether it be because of mind control, manipulation, or true betrayal.
Is it just me or does anyone else hear "I won't give up", during the section around 3:10 ? Because I totally do and that makes the part in Just Shapes & Beats that much more meaningful to me.
-confusion -sadness -frustration -rage -crying on the floor at 3am because your life amounts to nothing sitting at a chair all day while the pc/game console still on -satisfaction
THIS is how you make a song on a computer. Even though it's repetitive with the lyrics, the accompanying music makes sure it's NEVER even a BIT boring. Absolutely incredible! I wish all electronic-style songs had this level of attention to detail, instead of "ok, we made a stanza, let's just copy-paste it three more times, then make a change and do the same thing twenty times and we're done!" Basically, if you're not working as hard on a digitally-created song as you would be on a traditional song, you're doing it wrong.
BPNave I wholeheartedly agree. The first time I heard this song was in Just Shapes and Beats and this song instantly became one of my favorites from the Soundtrack. The boss fight that accompanied it was insanely good as well! Glad to see such good representation of EDMs nowadays.
well actually it is quite repetitive, adding instruments to the same pattern, and sometimes using simplier patterns to make a kind of a break, but Sabrepulse made sure it is not boring in any way. I personally like it, and it is good even now, 7 YEARS later after it is posted on RU-vid.
After playing this song a thousand times I can finish it with an A - Rank :D But I love how emotional the bossfight is, this song is a frickin masterpiece
This will be in my childhood f o r e v e r Mine *close to me *forever in childhood Also "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" my favorite part Also cube said "CLOSE TO ME " 56 times counted
10 years old and the song still bops, damn time flies so fast, we can't even keep track of the things we've done in a day, what about in a year, or even a decade... damn
Imagine you writing EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Just got done with Just Shapes & Beats, awsome game with awesome music Props to Berserk Studios for introducing me to this old gem, definitely among my favorites of the soundtrack
@@Dark-rc7rd Because like, you know that there's people cosplaying FNAF characters and using the FNAF 1 Song? Well, they maybe not cosplay. But use the song.
I love how like 20 seconds of the song were cut from the JSAB level. The mark of one of the greats. Hats off to you, Sabrepulse. Ok, Berzerk Studios too, I guess.
I want to talk, or more so likely what this song hits me more than being emotional boss fight to a cube friend (yeah, I talk about JSAB nostalgia). When it was around 4 years ago, I discovered this game by the time in cafe at young teenage. I clicked on the video playing one boss fight about this song and I thought it was total banger for me. Days and months later, I stayed for the game's bossfight, story and.. fanart (the good ones). A bit overdramatic, but in conclusion; thank you for being part of my memory
I thought youtube recommending me a JSaB video of all bosses was random as hell, but I never expected to be hit with nostalgia of a bunch of songs I haven't heard in 11 years It was exactly what I needed
