Its Sachin. Always. Everytime India plays a match, and seems like the team is losing, everyone asked "Sachin hai kya?" ("Is Sachin Still playing?") .. then generation changed and Dhoni came. And when team India seems to be in a tough spot, a new statement arised, "Are fikar nai! Dhoni hai na!" ("Don't worry! Dhoni is still playing!). You decide who's the best. I had goose bumps through out the video. This is arguably Sachin's greatest innings. Given the context ,the agression and the beauty of his innings. Coz at that time, Australia was considered invincible. So India qualified and in the finals Sachin again scored 134 runs to win the match and India won the trophy. But the desert storm remains one of his most special and memorable innings ever. I relived all the emotions that I felt back in 1998 as a 14 year old boy. Thanks for the video. This is the series that elevated Sachin's status in India. My favourite and greatest cricket player of all time🤩 Sharjah Cup was a tri-series. Each teams played 4 matches each. India and New Zealand had same no. of points. In cricket, when two teams has same no. of points, team having higher net runrate will qualify to the next round. In this match, Australia batted first and India were chasing that score. For India to have higher runrate, India needed to score 238 and With this amazing innings, Sachin made sure India qualified for finals. And in finals, Sachin scored another amazing century and India won the Sharjah Cup(series).
