I go to that forest monkey last october 2019 before Corona and its a lot people there, so sad looking forest monkey now hope gonna be better after the corona
Actually, in the past, temples in Bali were allowed to be entered by foreign tourists. I mean the inside of the shrine, but maybe around the 2000s, there was a case, where some 'foreigners' defiled the sanctity of the temple by making pornographic films inside the temple. Since then, almost all temples in Bali, especially the sacred section, are not allowed to be entered by foreign tourists.
The monkeys at this place was nothing compared to the ones at Uluwatu, a monkey came out of nowhere and stole my glasses, thankfully our driver and a guy working there managed to get them back in trade for some food, very aggressive monkeys there compared to this place 😊
