Denmark is a terrible place for accommodation and rentals. 12 years ago I in the company of my wife were actually booked into a ghost house through online Booking.. It was so scary and there were actually ghosts restlessly moving round in the house all through the night. We were alone there. It was an abandoned old house without doors by the sea. There was no personnel but a self let inn. It was too late and dark to run out after driving through the night from Germany. Till this day Im still traumatised by the horrific experience.
I think there is a miscommunication here based on what you’ve explained. May be the staff thought there is a new customer coming to the room. Next time please leave a note in the room notifying the cleaners that you are extending your stay. As an African this is my honest opinion. You’ve not been disrespected. For next time
Thank you for your honesty and integrity. We Africans need to wake up and actually improve our continent, things are going to get worse, but we have all it takes to make our continent better
So agree with this post that Africans should develop their countries😮. Asian countries have been doing this for sone years. Education, hard work, resilience is key to progress. Ensure the next generation is well educated. Best wishes.
I like how respectful you are even when people have disrespected you. You are so, so mature. You dont burn bridges because internet does not forget. Keep doing and loving what you do best. Good reaction video.
You should identify the hotel...They love reviews. You should give it to them on their web site and also the booking website...Good Luck with rest of trip
That is direct modern racism. These are the same people Africans welcome with warm hands and dance for them when they arrive in our airport and sea ports?? So sad.
Welcome to Europe! I've had so many bad experiences in Europe that I vowed not to go back. The world is big, and I would rather spend my money where I am respected. We deserve better.
Why any African wants to go to Europe on vacation is a bit surprising. If you have seen enough of Africa then Go to Latin America there are lots of people who look like us. Go to the Caribbean etc.
I'm a Jamaican/American. I plan to visit at least one country on each continent. Initially, I had France and Spain on my list for early 2024, but with France reputation for exploiting Africa, I removed them from my list. I have no interest in Europe, but I just want to fulfill my visit to each continent. Not all of South America welcomes Blacks/Africans. Argentina, which was on my list, is racist towards Blacks. I removed them from my list and decided only to visit Brazil (the largest Black population outside of Africa). Although I have citizenship in the U.S. and lived there for ten years, I finally left. I'm now enjoying Kenya, but I vow never to live in the U.S. again. It's just too toxic for Black people. I'm also not ready to settle in Jamaica, but I will visit regularly.
@@IamDrDee Well one cannot blame others when they don’t do basic research. Argentina almost wiped out all black men by sending them to the frontlines ensuring there would be no new births of black babies. But black folk watch Messi and think it’s all roses hahaha I am African and have visited Jamaica, Belize and Colombia and never at any point worried about my black skin. Look at how their goalkeeper was clowning Mbappe after the World Cup. We are too mentally colonized. In the summer most NBA athletes head to Italy, Spain etc but no thought at all about spending ha fraction of that in Zanzibar, Mauritius, Seychelles or South Africa which are just as beautiful and you don’t have to deal with the underlying hatred.
Tigress sorry u went through bad experience poor care etc, When I book in hotel I alway take pic of all my gadgets nd important stuff b4 I leave the room, just incase of casetys
Please find out, before going, how other people feel about black people wherever you travel. Unfortunately just because Africans welcomes all, some of those same people do not want you to visit where they live.
This is unfortunately true even among blacks in the diaspora, ie America. Some of the most xenophobic people with the same skin tone are the most divisive & hateful with a superiority complex.
Thats coz some human beings are evil and same time trying their best to stay locked off to avoid rubbing shoulder with any new people . @@realestatebykemi
@@DeograciousAjoga Exactly right. And they also feel too powerless & cowardly to confront their oppressors, so they project all that anger onto foreigners, particularly African immigrants. A lot of them will tell us to go back to Africa before a white person will. A lot of it also stems from jealousy because we know our roots & where we came from & they don’t.
Get us the name of the hotel, preferably with some photos so we can teach them a social media lesson. Actions should have consequences so that people realise the cost of what they do.
People make mistakes. I think that I would have taken the free room. Yes I would have been angry, but they were trying to make up for the F-up. Stuff happens! Its not always about hate or disrespect. Some time its just human error.
I have worked in hotels and the standard procedures should never allow for personal belongings to be handled that way. They either lack communication within their establishment or it was a blatant deliberate action. Very annoying since you told them you were extending your stay. That was very unprofessional. No one deserves to be treated the way it happened to you. Give us the name of the hotel please. Make sure you drop a review on Google and on TripAdvisor to expose them
At a time like this, as an African person I would no go to Europe Because of what is going in Africa is affecting them all, they will retaliate in many different ways, because they are on their way down. What African suffered they will get even worst. This is a turning point, the world will see their true colors
Thank you for explaining that to everyone. Sometimes we are too innocent and humble. Yes and because of what is happening in Africa we must be careful traveling!❤❤❤
If I was you I would have said the hotel name. Because it's a win for them. Because they basically embarrassed you it sounds like they did it on purpose and now they getting away with it without any backlash. You have over 270k followers which means you have more influence than the average person so if they was able to get away with it with you than what you think happens to the next average person with no influence. Start using your super powers for good.
Well said! Since they feel that they got away with the next black or African that comes along May-get treated in the same disrespectful way! If it had happened in africa , the hotel that perpetuated the act would be on blast and staff fired! Use your powers AT n call them out!
I really don't understand how you protect these people who treat you like this. You owe them no confidentiality or loyalty. It sucks that there will be no consequences.Agh. I feel frustrated by this story
The hotel simply had bad management and organizational skills. It happened to me in Dubai, to have the "do not disturb sign" on the door, and whilst being in the shower, the housekeeper entered the room. Hopefully you made a complaint to the hotel and of course give them an accurate review on all platforms.
What happened to you was unfortunate, however, its not an isolated case. Most countries throughout Europe will treat you differently from my humble experience. Don't let it discourage you from exploring. Stay vigilant and always record for your evidence.
@@henrikkorshavn5702 I’ve heard you, however, it's time for Europe and the rest of world to adopt a more accepting attitude and acknowledge individuals for who they are and what they stand for, not just how they look.
@@Tearoze I agree, but this is not about how Tigress looked or about race. This incident was purely about bad management and poor behavior towards a customer and could have happened to any customer of any kind, under the same circumstances.
Bare face racism throughout Europe. Some of my family live in UK and some in Switzerland... they are all racist. So glad my dad got me out of there and brought me to the Caribbean.😂
Black Americans don’t put up with this type of disrespect from racist! But yet some Africans warmly welcome them with open arms when they travel to the continent! You were too nice to them Tigress! As I said before all Africans in Europe need to remember what happed in Ukraine!
@@celestineandove9474 are you defending WS and racism? If you’re a black American you already know, we only have each other! They r WS n race 1st , remember that Celeste! Truth matters! Not BS!
I’m really sorry to hear what happened in Copenhagen to you. Girl you have to mention the name of that hotel, so people will be aware. It is shocking. And don’t forget to give them bad reviews in trip advisor…. Take care Tigresse and keep on doing what passionate you . All the love from Scotland ❤
That was a very detailed account. The end was the best part, as you framed everything in a context. It was one bad incident in an otherwise lovely place. Thank you for sharing. Safe travels.
@@1andeyo I don't think you're quite right about that. I believe this girl was in a bad hotel with some stupid staff. There's not a lot af African people in Denmark, except people from Somalia, there's not much racism against Africans here. There's more racism against Arabs to be honest - which I really don't like. Personally I don't care one bit what color peoples skin have, we are all worth the same in the eyes of God and I do believe it will backfire if one isn't a good person to other people - no matter their race, sexuality, interests, age or whatever. Most people in Denmark think like that, but of course there's idiots everywhere. That said I acknowledge this girl had a bad experience, I would be mad too. But her story is not a fair picture of our country. This is not a comman experience in Denmark. Anyway - choose to come to Aarhus instead, it's the 2. biggest city in Denmark, it's nicknamed The City of Smiles, because people are friendly, smiling and helpful 😊😊😊
The staff are not important to evoke an emotion in you. If they knew better they wouldn’t be where they are. You deal with the hotel! Sue them. But start with a formal complaint. There are European laws covering this!
I was in Denmark during the peak of Covid. I had a similar experience. Coupled with the fact that I only met a few people because of Covid restrictions, I couldn't reach a resolve.
You cant get through to Danish people, they dont even understand basic knowledge, hope you safe 🙏🏾 but I dont believe everyone like that, just avoid Denmark!
You didn't have time to stay until the problem was resolved. You should have hung around or went upstairs to pack your stuff if you were changing rooms...
This is truly unfortunate, sweetie, and I am happy that you are not daunted by this experience. Just keep travelling and showing us the beauty of all these countries.
As a traveller myself, I can tell you to never ever leave your things in a hotel room if you didn't Pay up fully for the room and getting some kind of proof of payment b4 you leave the hotel. When I'm about to leave a hotel room, I usually pack and lock my belongings just in case because I don't like people touching my stuff. If you had remained in the hotel until the system was up and took care of ur business everything would've been good. A lesson learned. By the way, did u get your partial monies back? Enjoy ur travels..
Imagine going to explore the city with all your bags ? Or waiting till 3pm. Yes infact they had actually run my card for full payment since it was in their system. Butbi got the money back
Racism with THEM is their religion. What a sick culture. You're beautiful sister. I've been watching since your Ethiopian journey. Don't let it get you down. This is a poison on THEM 😳
Then why go to Norway which is basically the same. ffs 🤣 No one is as racist as black people. Whether they are from U.S. or African nations. Maybe chinese, but it's close 1st and 2nd place.
@@mammasut8280 Last I checked Black people DIDN'T commit GENOCIDE on 100 Million Native Americans, or LYNCH Enslave and rape kidnapped AFRICANS, forcing them to work in Slave labour camps for 400 yrs. Lovely, the first video I watched from you was when you were in Egypt. If you survived Egypt then nothing should shake you. I`m talking from experience having visited Egypt 4X in the past. I hear you on your privacy being violated. I think the problem was a miscommunication from the outgoing staff. So the new(incoming) staff not knowing exactly what happened wanted to avoid trouble and did THE RIGHT THING by clearing the room for the next traveler because to them the room is not yet paid, it`s 4,5,6,7 hours and you`re not back. Sure the boss will not accept their excuse that they were waiting for you to come and pay. Have I had things removed from a room when I had booked for 3 weeks? Yes. I can count 100 little inconveniences when I travel, you just deal with it as you go. Now your private property being placed in a clear garbage bag, This is what most hotels will do so that when you come back, you are able to see your items even without opening the bag. It sounds rude but it`s not meant to be rude, it`s just how it`s done. While in Europe, don`t miss the French Riviera Cote d Azur, Nice, Monaco, and Rome. Switzerland is also another place you should visit. All the best, please stay safe and don`t make quick decisions, you should have taken the free room, not to say I always make good decisions when I'm angry.
The evening staff is responsible to ask the morning staff about any problems and they neglected doing this. The morning staff is responsible to leave notes about any problems. Both are at fault.
Thank you for your information about Denmark. I have no desire to go to that country after hearing of how you were treated there. We love your videos. Keep it up! 💞
This is very unexpected behavior. I have been to Copenhagen two times and love the city for its two bicycle lanes for every street in Copenhagen. I was very surprised you didn't notice the bicycle lanes over the city. Sorry for your experience and it is very unusual. I hope all is well with you. Stay safe and remain blessed and have a happy journey throughout the rest of your trip.
I am disappointed to read this story- I have three relatives married to Danes, 30 yers plus. Visited numerous times & made Danish friends myself. Truly that experience is not the norm - Danes have always been more than generous, affable, polite & compassionate. It’s a shame how a few drops can poison the whole well. Please don’t throw all Danes under the bus - I hope my story this will make you feel better - May you enjoy your travels❤
Our african princess . Just came across your channel love your content . The world cannot stop your positive vibes. Please continue to travel the world as your potential is limitless. One love Jamaica. 🇯🇲
Welcome to Europe! Without exaggerating, what you experienced is just a child's play compared to the level of humiliation that Africans are subjected to in Europe. Personally I always stand up for myself but sadly a lot of Africans don't. It's discrimination and racism but they always have their silly excuses for such acts.
****It's good you told your story about a particular hotel, no name mentioned. If you plan to continue traveling, you may want to device an emotional intelligent way of handling host nation issues so you are not running away all the time. Trust me, some countries harbour folks that lack basic mannerism towards Africans.
Sorry you'd to go through that. That was total & utter incompetence. If the morning staff didn't verbally inform them, they should have a practice of note keeping in the books for shift changes, besides you'd the room partially covered through the online process. Stay Blessed!!!
Girl, you continued on your journey. Dont ever let the devil kill your joy. Glad you are trying to handle what happened to yoooou. Many places don't have excellent customer service.
I'm sad to see my country 🇩🇰 not fit you good. But Nigerian girlfriend are well here with me through the years. Hope you find a better place to live then😊 take care and stay healthy and happy.
The fact that you paid for one night and the system was down, you were supposed to check out and check back in. The fact that you paid online, that was for a new reservation so you had to check in again and more than likely, they would have given you a new room. They definitely assumed you had left and everything you left behind will be bagged just in case you went back. Whoever packed your stuff is the person who was on the wrong for not handling your stuff with no respect. It’s clearly a misunderstanding and those of you who are already assuming it was racially motivated that’s not true. That’s just how things work in the Western World. That’s how it is here in America. Otherwise the Kenyan Lady wouldn’t be working there.
I agree with your explanation, you put good points, but my nagging question is, didn't the morning staff see this coming? Why didn't they atleast explain this to her, and make sure she atleast booked a new room, or packed her things her herself and live it the storage for when she comes back and checkin into a new room/or same room if its still available. Surely the morning staff should have left clear information, even manually for the afternoon staff. They should have been careful since the guest has insisted that she dosn't want her staff touched, and they should have known that without clear information, there is a possibilty that the afternoon staff may clear the room... ...any way, as you put it, it could be just a case of misunderstanding....or as see it, incompetence on the part of the morning staff... We have to be careful trying to guess peoples' motives or reasons for doing somethings, because there is hardly a sure way of knowing that in full.
I agree. To me it was a miscommunication that's it, either between you and the workers at the reception or between the workers at the reception and the cleaning staff. Not everything has to be racism, just because in your opinion your were not treated well that it means that you were a victim of racism. It's too easy, you have 0 accountability. They arrived in your room they had to clean for the next client (at least that's what they thought because you initially booked for one night) and instead of just cleaning they had to remove all your stuff scatered everywhere in the room. Do you really think they would take their limited time to organise all your stuff. They had to clean other rooms before a certain time.
So sorry to hear you had to go trough all this. Good thing that you didn’t let it ruin your total experience. I have to say you’re very brave to travel alone, respect for that. And I hope you have an excellent time in Norway, one of our favorite vacation destinations. We keep on following your travels, stay save!
Go through all what? She was told and no one showed her special treatment, then yells racism.... And then also said the decision was random. Black people are not some superior race around here. This is not U.S. or any African nation.
@@hunchbackaudio Oh stop. It's implied so many times. First time at 00:24. In addition to that look at the comments. Especially the most popular. And in addition to that the many xenophobic comments about Europe. It's random encounters that get blown up to ' oh white people are so racist'. Despite the fact that black people are the far most ethnocentric people. And black supremacy sentiments are shared and celbrated allover. If black people wanna find a racist real fast, they just need to look in their families and social sphere and they find droves of them in seconds
As a fellow African citizen I have to just say. We are watching with open eyes. The treatment of our people is what we will keep at the back of our mind when the future comes. Ncesi sis
This time I'd hoped its Clickbait. We thank God that you are safe. I always use Do Not Disturb Signs to keep Housekeeping off of My property. You deserve a refund for the first night to compensate you for packing your gadgets, shoes, toothbrush, food, clean and dirty clothes together. I would feel violated and vexed too. But I agree that you are glowing.💖 I respect you for respecting yourself, you're a real Tigress.🐯👑
As a matter of practice when in Europe or America I usually place a do not disturb sign on my door at least two nights before I leave the hotel. I just do not want to interact with housekeeping and lose my stuff that close to my departure.
You are such an open-minded, disciplened, humble and very focused young LADY! I think nobody would like to experience what you went through in Denmark! Your position before them was the right one, because you did display them (those JUNGLE people ) that you are a CLASSY woman with a high sense of HUMOUR and SELF-CONTROL. Allow me tell you that my entire country, Angola, is with you. You are such a GIFTED and BLESSED young LADY! Regards from Luanda-Angola
Actually, those are the kinds of things that one might expect to happen in small towns where the talent pool for competent staff is sometimes very low, but not in a major metro area. I live in the U.S., and I could not imagine something like this happening in Miami, New York, Atlanta, Chicago, or even Cincinnati, OH!
@@cosmicviewer477 well dear, imagine it. I've worked in a big city hotel in North America. I could tell you tales of how front desk and management carelessly mess stuff up, especially if it's during the busy season. Mind you, sometimes it's just life and staff being overworked and overwhelmed.
I stayed at the Marriott in Copenhagen & I had no issues. Actually, I was at another Marriott in another country & the desk clerk was like don’t u miss ur family? Don’t u think it’s time to go home? Oddly, the next day I got a call from my brother & he said my mom was bk in the hospital. So, the lady in hotel was my Angel. I traveled the train w/ the staffs help no worries. Also, my friends stayed at a different hotel, so we met & went to Malmo, Sweden for a day. Everyone experiences is different but I try to stay at good international hotels.
I am from Sweden, Malmö. We are close to Denmark ( it only takes us 30 min to travel to Copenhagen by train ). It hurts me everytime i hear things like this happening. I am really sorry this happened to you.
I am really saddened by this ...i wish you could tell me which hotel was it...this is unacceptable and i would also like to thank you for standing Firm.. kudos!
I am not originally Danish but, I am Danish citizen, I am sorry for you to experience this, but be glad that you are done, because it is not easy being not Danish in Denmark. It has not been a mistake. Blessed be
Hahaha....😂😂😂 love you mimicking the lady from 'Kenya' 😅😅😅like she would never have spoken against the ill treatment 🤧. So sorry about this experience ...hope you will have a great time in Norway 😊
To be honest, I’m not interested in visiting no European country! I only watch the videos of you going there to support your channel. A lot of those people are racist, history and their actions prove this!
As a fan, I don’t get what you’re ranting about for 20 minutes. I get that you don’t want people touching your stuff. However this is a simple mistake due to the fact that the staff you dealt with were off and the new staff didn’t seem to understand the communication you had with the previous staff. In all honesty, the staff recognized and acknowledged their mistake and tried to rectify the problem by attempting to please you but you were too angry to accept any apology. Girl you should check and control your anger, specially if you’re traveling. Traveling makes you less patient.
So very sorry Queen you went through this experience. It goes to show you how living on Europe even worse the USA you will be regarded as a second class citizen as a black person. You will experience Micro Aggression, and Unbiased discriminations. It really sucks, but some of us have been living with it in the west. It is even worse when they treat your kids like that. They ought to be ashamed of themselves Nkt. Pole. Just be thankful that you do not have to live with it like some of us do
Having a lot of experience in the hospitality industry. I understand why the hotel staff acted like that. On the other side as an African in this day age, traveling Europe you should be all ready for that kind of stuff!! Travelling should be about fun, leave all sensitivity at home and be open to positive vibes only!!
