Oh wow Dave. I am sorry for your… I was going to say sorry for your loss. But you didn’t really lose anything. You gained a couple boards. I am sorry for your gain. I do feel your pain on this one. It reminds me of the time we stayed at a campground far from home. We had to buy firewood for our campfire. That was a sad day.
Thanks for the kind words. Sending me a few dollars to offset the cost of those boards would be very much appreciated.....................is 1,000 considered "a few"?
Sad indeed, but it's a reality. I have a client who ordered last fall for this spring, 15 - 2x12x12' and 15 - 2x10x12' and I cannot obtain a supply of logs to fill they order. Been trying for 4 months. So it's an order that likely will not be filled.
@@PineInTheAshMilling I have 30 cords of 12-14ft hemlock now that are 12 to 30 inch diameter. Sitting, waiting for their time on the mill. This client is looking for spruce.
Indeed a sad day . . . I cry everytime I have to pull out my wallet at Home Depot - I can only imagine what those cost, and like someone else commented, there's no Douglas Fir even available . . . At least there is hope that one thing gets better - that being the knee - because the HD prices getting better is not at all likely! Take care Dave. I always look forward to your content.
Haha. I can only speak for my knees and it hurts, but so does my thumb on the left and the fingers on the right and much more. ‘‘Tis the season” of life. Makes one feel alive!
