Faerie Glen has deep roots, once part of the farm Hartbeespoort, and was gifted to the City Council of Pretoria in 1973. The reserve, centered around the Bronberg, is a critically endangered ecosystem with diverse vegetation like the Gold Reef Mountain Bushveld and Marikana Thornveld.
