I found out about Boldy years ago, I knew he was a legend in the making- that style, his cadence, and the beats he chooses, are all the markings of a great artist- it comes down to the pieces he puts out. That’s the curse, a great artist, but! So great, they can’t see it from a simpler view- they can’t hear their work with a Virgin ear, they hear everything.. listening too hard.. end up picking tracks that’s too complex sonically, layered with magnificent details that’ll make another artist turn into a fan- but, a regular person? It’s too much to take in, can’t adjust to it, but they know it’s good- but, just too artsy.. your favorite artist favorite artist type of deals Boldy has to simplify his pieces.. that’s what makes a great artist a genius.
What exactly are you saying? Boldy needs to simplify? Nearly everything he does is flawless, and he's never "too artsy". He's doing East Coast boom bap revival music , which musically is pretty simply it's the lyrics that use complexity as any great lyricist in that style hip hop. Manger was his artsy album and it's one the best albums ever.
