SADAC is useless. Already police officers, the army and other security arms are already voting in absence of SADAC observers and without other political parties observers present.
Unfortunately while the professor may be correct but it ends there in the studio, wait until zanupf holds it's politburo meeting scheduled for Tuesday the 22nd of August 2023, they will rubbish everything and say "we are a sovereign state, we entertain no interference from anyone in whatever status, observer missions ettc" . Point of correction prof, there are no new faces in zec rather there are plenty of families of the zanupf officials in there which makes it largely partial. I disagree that they have learnt a lesson, this body is the worst, it must be disbanded.
The Professor is talking nonsense....There are no fresh faces in ZEC,,,Half of the officials in ZEC are children of ZANU (PF) leaders, examples, Frederick Shava (Foreign Minister) - daughter Kudzai Shava is a member; Abigail Mohadi is the daughter to ZANU PF Vice President Kembo Mohadi; Catherine Mpofu is the daughter of Obert Mpofu, the ZANU PF Secretary for Administration (a powerful position there), Other ZANU PF families represented are the Mangwanas...Further there are military men in there....ZEC is compromised and cannot deliver a free and fair and credible election when interested parties are involved....thats just one issue...I wish I could respond to many of the misrepresentations by the Old Professor....he is right though to say Zimbabwe is a difficult terrain and political environment for the opposition.
