Just wanted to thank you for the review and answer a couple of your questions. The center bolt is to anchor your amsteel, the kydex just to protect from chaffing rope. I don't believe you will have to run the pin. I just wanted to include it for safety. And questions you have please reach out to me. Thanks again.
Man, that makes perfect sense! I knew there was good reason for it! You guys really did think of everything! I think the pin is a great idea. Can’t wait to climb with this thing!
Bought one of these 1 month ago and it has been excellent. I really enjoy your videos and look forward to the full review. Also I found after using it for a while you really don't even need that pin. I don't even carry it anymore.
Hey man! Thanks for the kind words and support!!!! I have been recovering from back to back surgeries otherwise I would have already had the full review out by now. I need to suck it up and get out there. 😂 but I think you are right. I think the pin is included for “peace of mind”. I don’t think I’ll be using it.
I want one will be nice update to my ultimate one stick!! This is what I wanted foldable!! Now if can get that slight angle on top platform like original Ultimate would be even more perfect.
The foldable aspect is very nice!!! And being able to adjust the angle of the whole top platform is awesome too! I’m thinking that with about 10-15 degree downward tilt it will be perfect
@@robzmancave I just like to have a flat spot on top and that curved section is just more comfortable to me. Either way I have one coming in 12" just packing alone is a huge win win! I also have the ultimate stick and love it other than packing it.
Great video. I have the ultimate one stick and packing it doesn't bother me one bit. Personally I'd rather not be fiddling around with hinges and moving parts in the woods.
Thanks!!! I love my EWO stick. And I’ll definitely still use it. Packing it isn’t an issue for me either, but packing it AND my bow is almost impossible, so 99% of the time I wind up carrying my bow, or using a sling. I’d rather be able to walk in with both hands free. As for the fiddle factor.. the pin in the lower step is technically the only moving part that needs attention, and you could remove it and leave it out if you wanted. Obviously everything can’t be for everyone, but hell, even I thought at one time that one sticking was stupid, now I’ll never hunt with multiple sticks again… maybe 😂
I have a wingman that I converted into a 1 stick. My Only complaint is that it’s not very easy to fit into my platform spot in my pack. I’m already REALLY considering this for next year
I had a wingman too, sold it to a buddy. This thing is definitely a game changer. Not sure what they call that platform slot, but now I need a backpack with one.
Really enjoyed your initial overview and comparison! The Slick Rick looks like it will be a great option for one stickers who are looking for another solid stick with an enhanced ability to pack! Got one on the way and will too be giving a brief overview as I'm sure many potential customers are waiting for more footage and info regarding this setup. Thanks for the review bud.
Thank you bud! I think this stick is an amazing option. Sure, I think that every stick has its own benefits, but the Slick Rick covers most if not all of the perks I was looking for. I normally don’t like doing split up videos. But wanted to get an overview out so the saddle junkies(like me) can get their eyes on it. The review video will be much more detailed and experience based. Looking forward to your overview video!!!
That's a good idea. I temporarily put some small heat shrink tube on the ring to silence it a little. Was a pain to get the tubing on but it was clean when shrunk. I like the idea of paracord tho, because I can girth hitch the paracord to the stick so I don’t lose it. I can tie some cute knots to make it look purty lol. I’ll have some down time the next week or so to play with it 😂
