My buddy and I did a circumnavigation of Saddle Mtn. starting at Crown Camp on the old Lewis and Clark Rd. above Seaside that July. We used the Greenwood Resources map and no GPS, the property managers and necessary free permit available online but the maps are only available for $7 from there palatial office half way up the hill from Seaside or in their Portland office, that although the best I have seen for that area still leaves some serious route finding on the table due to lack of matching signage. We only headered out once but there was a hike a bike elk trail out of there so never had to turn back all day. We have made a few more trips into the area to try and locate a rogue stand of old growth but haven't found it yet, maybe next ride. I am hunkered down on Cape Meares and researching a 3 Cape (Meares, Lookout, Kiwanda) route to be done here in a bit. So much good access to the logging roads here on the coast it almost seems like endless enjoyment to be found if you don't get lost too much....
Great video as usual, this captures the spirit of having a fun ride with your friends but still having a very good performance too (2 things very difficult to have at the same time, as I can see around my crew). Anyway, I can say to the guy riding all with just bibs and a t-shirt that there's Always a great form of silent respect for the people which doesn't feel the cold weather!
Thank-YOU Dustin. Some of my favorite rides are on desert flow trails around Tucson. Ever get into MTB flow? “Flow is a rare and dynamic state characterized by dimensions like the merging of action and awareness, concentration on a task, the loss of self- consciousness, an altered sense of time, and a self-rewarding experience.” Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
Hooked on your video drops every Thursday man!! Also admire your video style and technique! That behind shot to front shot transition and the 360 view especially🤙
Could you cover your chain lubrication process in a future vid dklein? Interested to know what you use, how often you relube, whether you ever need to relube during a ride... that sort of stuff. Love your work.
@@aidanshmaden69 Actually quite a bit of science behind it. Consider Friction Facts, zerofrictioncycling.com.au/lubetesting/ et al. I respect your viewpoint but I, and I'm sure others as well, want to go a bit deeper than that. Each to his own.
I liked the frequency of this crew. Different flavor than Ron & Drew, but still fun as fuck ✌️🙌 You’re blessed to have all these great people to ride with.
Hey Dustin. First of awesome video! Secondly I don't think you get enough credit for your impeccable music taste. Dream with in a Dream by Glass Prism has been in my rotation quite heavy since you featured it in your last upload. Cheers from the Netherlands!
I like you handlebar bag but its a shame it doesn't look like it works with an outfront gps mount. Any other bags that open in the same diresction but could work with an out front mount?
And he saw that it was good. Tire press-ure👌 Aire can become stale, reacting to an innertube to create an un-supplé region. The remedy is to run tubeless at the 'proper press-ure™' 🤓🙄😜
Could be worse, a forgotten helmet or shoes, or maybe leaving one wheel behind...of course this has never happened to me. Music plug: Dengue Fever - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CQYOGkCk2DA.html
