A review for the Speed Merchant seat by Saddleman for the FXLRST Lowrider ST.

I was going to do thrashin 6.5 pullbacks but after looking at pullback plates I think that is all I will need with a 2” rise and 2” pullback with be perfect with stock bars , I think just the 6.5 pullbacks are still to far out.. and a pullback plate on top of that is 8.5 just risers + bar = way too high .

How long are you? I’m 5’9 with 30 inch inseam. Think I can flatfoot the ST with this seat? Love the ST, but felt a bit weird about my legs position when I tested a ‘22 lowrider s. Thx

6’. I still have a decent bend to my knee when sitting, but it definitely lifts you up and inch or two. Also I am at the midway setting on the preload of the rear shock. A lighter rider could run it lower

Thank you Steve for sharing your experience. I put a deposit on a low rider st and hopefully soon will arrive , hence I am looking for seating options now. If you don’t mind, can you please share the link of the exact seat you got there? Also, did you say you got it with the bronze stitching, I checked the site and couldn’t find this colour. I would appreciate if you can share some footage on how the seat looks from the top. Have you considered other brands such as lepera? Seen some videos suggesting it is more comfortable but I have no experience with any of them. One final question, did you have a sissy bar or back rest? If so can you share your setup? Thanks and apologies for the too many questions ☺️

I ended up calling a sales rep to put the order in. I explained I wanted the stitching the same color at the bike logo, and they said their stitching would match it. I think it was the “brown”. I do not recall for sure though. I didn’t sit on the LePera, but it was my second choice. I had read the the speed merchant moved you into a better position for this bike, so I went with it. I can’t share pictures in the RU-vid comments, but I have pictures on my Instagram. There is a link in the description. If I add the link here it may get flagged for spam.

It moves you up do you get more wind buffering?

No. I am still cutting a clean hole in the wind, as long as my visor is down. Strangely I only get buffering with my visor open and sitting up straight.
