This video is on a small batch adoption more of a trials helmet used by the South African defense force. This helmet was purchased in the 90’s to be trialed by their special forces. Ultimately the helmet wasn’t well liked and is fairly rare today, it was replaced by the orlite. The most interesting fact about this helmet I think is that it’s basically a composite Austrian m75 m1 clone helmet that received a upgraded chinstrap. There is a lot of weird features on this helmet like a 3 point chinstrap but the bales for a 2 point chinstraps re still on the shell and rubber rim that appears to be attached to the inside of the helmet with press studs.
