It is mentioned in Manu Smruti, the law book of Hindus, in chapter 5 verse 30 “The eater who eats the flesh of those to be eaten does nothing bad, even if he does it day after day, for God himself created some to be eaten and some to be eater.” c. Again next verse of Manu Smruti, that is, chapter 5 verse 31 says “Eating meat is right for the sacrifice, this is traditionally known as a rule of the gods.” d. Further in Manu Smruti chapter 5 verse 39 and 40 says “God himself created sacrificial animals for sacrifice, … , therefore killing in a sacrifice is not killing.

Manu Smriti is a guide book , not a religious one, though many ignorant Hindus consider it as divine. Please do not be bold to make a statement when you have little knowledge without first familiariazing wth it content by reading and analysing it. Sadhguru will not make a statement of anything unless he feels he has some knowledge of it. So you must become knowledgeable of the Quran first before you make a statement like this. Right now you do not know much about this book. Yet you speak of knowledge. How is it you derive such conclusion about the entire book. Even on diet it is a matter of knowledge. The prophet ate very little meat and not often. He shared advice on various food and that only a portion equal to a third of our stomach, for the other third is for drink and the other third is for air. This means one should not eat to full capacity. Yes we do have certain teeth for tearing food and that is true and there is use in it. But man ought not to live like the carnorous animal to consume the amount animals consume or beyond the one third capacity of the stomach size. Check out Ibn Sena or Avicena, a muslim scholar who wrote much about the food as medicine folowing the propetic traditions. Avicena is the name known widely in the western world. Then there is Socrates who wrote much about food. Knowledge has been accumulated since ancient times, mostly through invivo observation. Let just say you are well read about the Quran then you must be so awed by certain things like the gentic verses in it about the YY chromome causing the gender in an unborm child. Brother when you comment about any specific book,please state the chpater and verse you disagree with. We would like to further analyse the base for some people misunderstanding and if perpaps something is read out of context.
