When one follow the BUDDHA teaching he will be humble and become selfless, ego is dismissed. The beauti of the teaching of BUDDHA make one a worthy egoless being that will destine to happy future birth. The path to be pure in mind is to keep sila conduct of self restrain, perform dana charity and bhavana to purify one mind by being detach from all nama rupa activities and finally to NIBANNA. Why should I search to become smaller ? I'm searching to become bigger everyday not in ego to clarify that in compassion, consciousness, in determination, confidence, peacefulness. If I consequently follow my virtues my sadhana I will achieve the maximum capacity of impact I can have for this world and my soul (only if my mind hadn't been deluded in the decision making which is impossible to clarify looking forward
