I find it interesting that Susan can look like a haggard 2 in some pictures and a stunning 9 in others. I guess those are the wonders of tweezers, waxing, razors, and makeup. I have a feeling the last booking photo is not Susan even though many sites say it is. It just doesn't look like her.

So let's praise photography and motion pictures for bringing something to the party in the Manson case. Atkins, right off the bat she never takes the same picture twice.. I'm interested in the photos taken outside the clutches of the law, to see if they reveal anything about her that she and others not mentioned in testimoney, books, t.v. interviews etc....As a way of diseminating how evil this girl was and not how she got there, but track the developement. Also, the mug shots she took are revealing, the one from Mendocino Couty I believe is the first. She looks waifish, not directly eyeing the camera, which is a requirement by law enforcement. She's rebellious and detached looking simultaenously. Mug shots are "gotcha" moment for a criminal. A way of revealing embarresment, guilt, and maybe a fleeting reckoning of who they are, and their capacity for crime. The last mug shot from L.A. P.D. Is probably the last booking, processing from just off the street. This one is chilling. One of a kind. She tilts her head down, smiles that deranged lunatic smile. One she full well knows is an official document. Not even close to a "who me?" look. If it was taken when she was arrested for her numerous other crimes that might explain that " you don't know what I've been up to" behavior. The admonition that " I am a killer. I like it. And I commit all kinds of crimes easily. " There's one of the girls walking down the hallway during the trial; it's important because it leaves a record of how she moved, and she pulls a theatrical looking through the circle her fingers formed. And puffs up right at that moment. I see disdain, again rebellion, and a shot of " you're lucky you didn't run into me on another night with me wearing my killing face. " The last mug shot, processing into the CA prison system after the verdict& death penalty but before the dp was over-turned. this time Atkins is expression free, practically. Dead eyed, not happy, vacant. This one is free of revolutionary posturing, hippy nirvana to come, solidarity with the cult. She is alone. She is not projecting, it's the opposite. The pictures of Sadie Atkins on the ranch mark her pop-eyed enthusiasm, her energy. But the one photo of her after the murders she is very subdued in comparison to the non-killers. And not many of her group gaggled with the other hippy girls. Atkins explanation of her behavior years later do not jibe with the visual evidence marking her true nature: Apocalyptic, psychopathic, murdering, narcissistic, genetic criminal. Cut from the same cloth as manson.
@Alex v last one? Looking at all the pictures of Atkins there's some that I could swear are not her. Have you seen the one of her standing between Mary Brunner and Catherine share?
Alex v I know there not all fake. But there’s a lot of staged things, in the trials. People on remand for mass murder don’t get to walk down the halls with their codefendants in pretty dresses uncuffed

I want to know the details of the bad behavior. Atkins had a big mouth, she broke the Tate/Labianca case. I know she was a topless dancer. I know she went on a armed robbery spree at age 17. She broke into people's houses at night- while they were in there. Before she met Manson. She grew up a mile from me, I was a little kid.
In 1970 I was 17, a runaway and experimenting; as most teens my age were doing. Atkins, would not have been a friend of mine. She was the creepiest of all the Manson girls. That LSD did something to her brain..😵😱😨
I don't think you woulda known she was doing that, if you knew her. She was masquerading as a hippy. It was good cover for a criminal like Atkins & manson. She woulda sussed out in you your capacity for violence application in five minutes. Manson didn't tell Atkins to start breaking into people's houses. While they were in there sleeping. She was 16 when she started doing that. Do you think someone like her would be very capable of murder? It's obvious. Screw all that hippy LSD shit, Atkins, Watson & Manson were coming to kill regardless of the time and place.

Susan didn't kill anyone. She was there and so guilty of being an accessory. And, that's not Susan at the 3:20 picture with the booking numbers. It was a girl from a band from Texas. Also, the picture of Susan with the circle motion at her eye was her mimicking the picture and film taking by all the news people. She was not evil. I know. I knew her. Thank you
Oh bull, she did the ALL SEEING EYE 666 symbol many times and she picked it up from Levey and the Church of Satan, which there are photos of her there as well. There are hundreds and hundreds of Celebrities who make the all seeing eye symbol every chance they get. It's the big "club" symbol. It doesn't mean that she is evil, but she is definitely not just mocking cameras. It's her letting other club members know that she's in the big club..
Can you look at the sweet, lovely, innocent, darlin, cute baby girl at 0:08 and get offended Or mad at me if I were to say, she will grow up to be in a group of people who will maliciously and heniously kill and torment many people. she’s just mimicking a camera lens because during the trial she was facing an army of media photographers. It’s the sphere of a lens, not an illuminati sign. She’s making fun of photographers.
I think is an awesome collage and it’s the best photo montage of Susan pics I’ve ever seen -so there! I’m personally impressed by the images assembled to go with this original song and think it’s weirder that some people would feel compelled to make such a snide, unnecessary comment.
