I love this lady. She gives an explanation for beginners in all of her videos, like 'less beans, weaker coffee or putting the hose in a milk container vs. frothing.' Thank you.
Hi Gail! Late night 2020 quarantine shopping here! I just bought this (refurb) machine, a lovely rose cappuccino glass and the Intelligentsia Black Cat Analog whole bean from all y'all at SCG!! I'm excited to get it and can't wait!! I have a La Pavoni Europiccola Millennium, an Atomic and about 15 Moka pots...I'm kinda tired of all the effort...looking forward to pushing a button. I do like the option of the Panarello, I like to control the milk. Cheers! Be Well and Stay Safe! - Tammie :)
Quick question...to avoid getting all that foam is it possible to simply place your finger over the little pinhole after you've determined you've gotten enough foam to keep the air from being incorporated into the milk or does that part of the steam wand get too hot?
We are an 80% Americano, 20% espresso house. Converting from a Nespresso Expert. Thoughts on this making Americanos? Thoughts on this vs a Jura a1? Thank you!
Have one. Nice till the bean compartment door sensor fails to sense door is closed. Nothing works and the only thing shown on the screen is a timer telling you time till you can press again on the button for a coffee. Been waiting for repairman calls me to say when it is repaired!
It would be awesome if you did one huge video where you tested multiple different coffee methods and multiple different espresso machines and then do a blind taste test (a separate "round" for either coffee or espresso.) Then you rate each product from each "round" from worst to best and of course describe the differences. I think that it would be a fun and informational video to watch. Thanks!
Saeco to Phillips and then back to Saeco they obviously realised that the money was in the "name" apart from that I must say the frothing is not that great, my Creatista Plus does better foam than that. Nice video Gail , :)
I love you guys and would like to ask a question about espresso. Is there any way to make it not horribly bitter? I put in the lemon and it did nothing. I put in twenty packets of sugar and it did nothing. Is it possible for it to be made palatable at all?
hey King Axolotl, how are you making your espresso ? specifically, with what machine or device, what are you using to grind, and how freshly roasted are the beans ? short answer is: yes, you can make a proper espresso taste nutty and sweet, no sugar needed.
King Axolotl one thing I have noticed about any kind of espresso, the longer it sits after it is pulled the more bitter it is. Add it to milk almost immediately after pulling! Also the temp of water and acidity of beans can make a huge difference ☺ hope that helps!
J Gaugel totally agree ! Gail mentioned in some video that mixing in steamed milk with the espresso shot within 15 seconds yields best results. I have been doing this method for the past week, and the resulting lattes are so much smoother !
