My review of the excellent Saevus Corax #1, the first in the new trilogy by KJ Parker. This is the first trilogy of Parker's that I've read, and I was pleasantly surprised, if not familiar with some of the more common elements in Parker's works.
Are wars ever beneficial? Should banks ever grow more powerful than sovereign nations? Why do those in power think that everyone below them thinks just like them? What would you do to have a life that was truly your own? And, perhaps most importantl, is Saevus a graverobbing vulture or an opportunistic small-business owner?
Thank you to KJ Parker, Netgalley, and Orbit for the advanced copy!
Be sure to also check out @bookswithzara 's review on the same book.
