So interesting to see your experience! I am a qualified safari guide and ran a luxury lodge in Kenya.. I’ve experienced both sides, travelling kruger on a total budget staying in tents with my mates, or running a volunteering lodge in South Africa vs the luxury experience I ran in Kenya which was starting price of $1000 per night. So wow for the industry, this is cheap cheap. I’m now working as a safari consultant and the average safari spend from my company is $32,000 (6-250k range). You definitely pay for what you get, but at the end of the day I’d be sitting with my volunteers who’ve paid £100 per night watching the same lions as the car next to me from the luxury lodge who’d paid 10x more.. so the animal experience is often similar, but its the experience around the safari you pay for… the G&T drink stops, the luxury breakfasts, the infinity pool where elephants come to drink. I would say though, the best thing about the expensive holidays is you often get exclusivity- its not uncommon to go cheap and be sat in a sighting with 10 other cars!! Which can ruin the experience for some. Just some thoughts for anyone who is interested! I recommend Yellow Zebra Safaris if anyone wants anymore information
I'm glad you made this video! I wouldn't mind a safari either way. If i'm solo, i'd prefer luxury experience. its amazing how they live with the animals and herd their folk.
We just got back from a 4 night/ 5 day safari in tanzania. We paid $900 per person. (2 of us) It was a private safari with nice cottage accommodations. However, I did months of research to get the best value for money and we booked 6 months out. I think if you book once you're already there you will pay the premium.
You booked your safari when you arrived in Africa , in your case from what I saw you were lucky. I would suggest to anyone do your research into different tour companies before you come some are much better than others. The more expensive the safari you tend to get better guides which can make such a difference to your stay.
Hey Buddy, have you visited? What was budget looked like for 4 night 5 days for 2 people ? Could you plz guide me. I want to visit but , we are on extreme budget crunch :). Any input would be highly appreciated.
@@vijayswami2079 Hi there.. yes, we visited. Been a year now. Lovely place. Someplaces, feels overrated. Expensive too. Check with Shah tours, they organised well for us.
Thank you very much for that video. I always was asking myself how Tanzania/East Africa is, being rather a South Africa addict ... (but I guess I won't change ... 😊😊)
You are making me so excited for our safari in September!!! One question...white shirts? Yes or no? I read that it's really dusty so it's recommended to not wear white. What was your experience with wearing white?
So cool! I'm surprised the safari car isn't completely open, all the videos and pics I've seen of safari there isn't any roof and the car is totally open.
What month please I lostmost past photos inc Kenya in 80s. Would love to go again. What company please...I can survive in tents if can fund a mosquito sprsy that actually works none have inc deet. Why couldnt you say company

When you arrived and started looking at safari options, do you recall what mid-range private safaris cost? Wondering whether to wait until we arrive before booking. I have a feeling it's just the budget ones that are probably a bit cheaper 'on the ground'. Also, I'm guessing you just met new people on the group tour? Or are these friends you went with? (I may have missed this in the video somewhere, sorry!) Great video btw!
Thanks! No I was not looking at private safaris so I unfortunately don’t know ;/ from what I have seen tho it was not just the budget once, but in general everything was much cheaper in Arusha
Valuable information , great views but my god this music is so awful, so annoying and in such a STARK contrast to the sweetness of the nature. Worst choice ever, my friend:(
I enjoyed watching every episode you have posted whilebin our country, so i have waited for the safari episodes for so long, I hope you are having fun.
@@KajaKubicka Hi, since you have travelled at Africa so can you please tell me that what is the actual situation there? Means are all the animals safe there from the attacks of the predators? Have you ever witnessed anything like that? Let me know please
Yes, I'm not safari guider but I'm Tanzanian. Having seen ur question unanswered I've seen better to reply it. Here it's easier than a word itself. The cost of safari, people and environment ilself are quite friendly. It's u to have such determination. Come and explore safari wonders which you can come across nowhere else on the planet.

@@vijayswami2079 It depends on kind and quality of hotels you want to reside for those five days. It May range from 40,000/=Tanzania Shillings(Equivalent to 20 Us dollars and above depending on the quality of hotels you want. Good enough for some hotels you may easily convert your USD to and pay in local currencies. This also applies to restaurants where you want to have your meals when are here. But for some, you will be obliged to pay in USD. Anyway there are plenty of national parks, game reserves, Big mountains, museums whatsoever. You are welcome to visit one of the most peaceful lands on the planet with lots of blessings from Almighty GOD.
