Absolutely love the content you provide. I often look at the title and think that I probably know most of the functionality of iPhone apps and without fail I watch your content and constantly think, “wow i didn’t know I could do that “. Excellent work. Thanks
This was a crazy experience..! I've had iPhone for a long time and thought I knew much of the ways around safari and OS, but you had me from first and all the way until last tip. Simply great. I subscribed now :)
Tom, I’ve spent an afternoon watching your wonderful videos and learning so many tricks and tips. Thank you for sharing your extensive knowledge. I’ll think about joining your channel - I’d like a one-time payment instead of monthly. As a senior (83) I don’t always remember to unsubscribe. Can I access a PDF or ebooklet of the information that I can print and study? I’m about to upgrade my iPhone from a X which is six+ years old and my iPad from a iPad Pro - six years old. Any advice you can offer? Many thanks! Elisabeth.
LOL I just signed up to the newsletter and had to do two CAPTCHAs. Then I returned to the video to learn about automatic verification. I went to turn it on but it was already on. As you said: some website owners won't allow automatic verification... 10:40
Disappointing to hear that Mailchimp (the company I use to host my newsletter) don’t allow it. It’s something I’ll feedback to them, but ultimately it’s their service, and up to them to enable it or not.
Your mention of syncing Safari tabs between devices reminded me of how with the loaner phone I have while my iPhone’s battery is being replaced, none of the alarms I have set on my phone were synced to the loaner. I’m amazed that this isn’t automatic, and more amazed to discover that it’s not even an option that’s available! I rely on those alarms and these few days I’ve forgotten to do so many things for which I have alarms set. Super frustrating.
Why does Safari have a bug with dark mode? … it randomly stays on dark mode when I’ve taken it off and have to refresh the page to get it out of dark mode. Also vice versa
I’ve been really enjoying your insightful videos, thanks. Quick question, what monitor setup do you have? I can see you use LG Dual up but what’s your main(s)?
As a soon to be first time iphone user switching from Samsung s10e to iphone 14, your videos have been so helpful in learning how to master various apps. Although I had no plans of switching from Google Chrome this was still very insightful. I'm still deciding which other Google apps I'm going to keep and which are worth switching.
Hard to get behind Safari because no integration with PC. I use Firefox for that reason - always updating for iOS, macOS, and Windows. Truly a OS agnostic approach
Great content as always delivered in the most instructive manner. I have a website that a need to open up for work proposes. In android I just ask for the full pc website and that’s it, full site and full options. On Safari I only get the mobile version where many essentials options are missing. Tried to mess around with the site options but no workaround in sight. Any suggestions? Thank you
Hi:) I’ve noticed you using Google in safari. And enabled safari suggestions and search suggestions. Could you make a video about why your using it and what it means? I’m having trouble understanding how it works.. figuring it out yourself makes no sense because of the current problem with Google and AI you get different results. And I feel like you are still well informed :) sorry for the inconvenience. I'm a little bit ashamed
Great content as always. Just a general question as I'm quite new to Apple as my 13-year-old daughter wanted one so I thought it best to try to understand it. Is there a video you can do that shows us parents how to set up the phone to control the phone use as she's using about 5GB a month and needs her phone to do school work but I need to control everything else that uses the data. I've even set it for wifi for most things but she still uses that much data even when she's home. Other parents I speak with have similar problems to this too Thanks in advance for your help
Check if the Wi-Fi Assist setting is enabled at the bottom of the Cellular options in Settings and disable it. This setting enabled will activate cellular data if the Wi-Fi signal is poor.
Tried opening up a webpage, activating Siri asking it to remind me of this and the response I get was “what do you want to be reminded of”. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong..
@@citizen3000Safari, yes. Opened up a random webpage activated Siri and said “Remember this web page for me” and also “remind me about this page later.”
Love your channel! I am hoping that SOMEday there will be a one click button or option to ‘clear all website data and cookies’ when I close Safari, like the desktop Firefox browser has. I realize that I can do it via settings (currently what I do) but that’s a 5 step process each time. I never keep cookies or data on my 8+ after using Safari.
