Awwww... I wish there had been a 2nd video so we could've seen the little baby finally take its first steps and first much needed drink. What a little sweetie though! 🥰
I agree that all the noise from the vehicle is upsetting her...it is a big ordeal to deliver a big beautiful baby. Elephants are such incredible animals and such good mothers
I know exactly how you feel...it is absolutely Mother Nature at her best. Watching a tiny baby take her/his first step is so very exciting to watch this sweet little family. I am surprised that Mom hasn't called her herd to come and meet their brand new member of their family.
So Adorable! Elephants are my most favorite of all the wild animals. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. God bless you and God bless the Animals.
I too feel the same way and after reading all these comments you are making very good sense, and I feel for her I’m sure she is feeling pretty disturbed about everybody’s comments! Maybe we could be a little kinder! But then every man I’ve ever dated has told me to zip it so I can relate. It’s just that I have so many awesome things to say! LOL please let’s give her a little break. It is truly a great spiritual practice to learn to be silent, because silence is truly GOLDEN😷 but that definitely does it mean I buy into the whole mask situation by any means~ for GODS SAKE🤐We do you have two ears and one mouth for a very profound reason!!
Elephants are wonderful animals who the world can't afford to lose, these are only the best to watch and listen to, they're not just animals they have enough intelligence than any other animals in the world.
Just a guess but I find myself wondering if having half a dozen cars filled with tourists watching her might be a large part of the stress the mother is reacting to?
Well it makes sense, but these elephants are so use to people that it may just be part of their landscape. Plus the people involved are well educated by their experience with the elephants. At least I sure hope so.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience. I must admit that this is something that I would love to experience. I came close to being able to being able to take the journey to Africa but for one reason or another I reminded my dad of my mother and he changed his mind and decided that he would not bring me with his new family. I haven’t been blessed with the finances that would accommodate even a minimum of a safari experience. So although it’s not the same, I have a bit of a way to live vicariously though you. May the God of this wonderful world continue to bless you with all this beauty and joy. You are truly a blessing and beautiful person. Much love.
Thank you so for your knowledge and that sweet bundle of joy I’ve never seen before and yes mummy knows best a incredible moment plus I do love them so .
I guess all these people do you have the right to their point of you, yet if I was you I would have a hard time keeping my mouth quiet also! Since your voice is so beautiful and exotic I think it’s music to the animals ears that’s just my point of VIEW. LOL
This is Jamie Patterson working for safari live, now; called Wild Earth. Jamie is so patient, and so kind. Jamie is also respectful to all the animals, she knows what she is doing and I appreciate it. Watch Wild Earth then maybe; all the people making negative remarks might understand it more.
Thank for that lovely lovely footage dear dear little bub🍉🍇🍌 the fruits for mum while she waits for her daughter to enjoy her first drink...that is so lovely.💞
Love love this video, I'm always amazed how elephants are so nurturing and gentle, thank you, your voice is very soothing, it felt like I was there with you experiencing, this great event.
Come on baybay you CAN do it! Come on... pleeeeeeease get up. I can see your little beautiful eyes. She’s up YES! I feel honored to have watched this. Amazing!
Technology is amazing in letting us see this from the comfort of our homes despite the fact that it is old footage. Mother/infant bonding throughout the primates demonstrates our similarities rather than differences. There must be some grand plan how one thinks of it.
the baby did die. The sack was actually berried half in ground and then in one part of video you see the other part of sac around baby. mother noticed but not until it was way to late. once you know the story and watching the video again, you will notice it all. When the baby is moving front and back , it is trying to move towards mom but is stuck. there are other video explaining situation@@katrogers3932
I sooooo wanted the baby to slowly turn toward Mummas' tummy, curl that little trunk up and latch on to the target and suck like there is no tomorrow!.......that's all.
They do most of the time, but I've heard of a female going off to give birth by herself. It's risky as now she can't protect herself or the calf against predators. I don't know why they would want to do it.
Farmwife - clearly you haven't very much knowledge about mammals giving birth (especially for a farm wife) ALL mammals go off --- for alone time to give birth !!!!!!!!
MsDebbiB I've often wondered why there is such a stark contrast in the way the herd reacts to child birth. The herd will either crowd around the new baby and mother, or keep an extreme distance. I was thinking the same thing your are, and that is maybe the mother sometimes send signals to the herd that she needs her space and wants to be alone with her new baby. I adore elephants.
@@MsDebbiB Isn't this the baby Elle that died? The mom had covered the placenta and the cord. When she realized it she broke the cord and the baby ellie died instantly?
I for one appreciate the commentary. It can be distracting/corny at times but overall I liked learning about all the things the guide was pointing out.
Unbelievable video....how wonderful to see so close such a giant beauty! I love elephants; i hope to go to Africa one day...they are on my will! My hat goes to all the people who helps and watch their welfare!😍
How sad. 22 months of carrying her child and then labor to have her baby and baby dies without human intervention. It breaks my heart. 💔💔💔💔💔 Beautiful animals. What an honor to have these beautiful, humble animals on earth and this precious baby dies. 😢😢😢😢
@@459luker I know this is a LATE answer, but for others too...Go to 35:18 here for the story ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B87WF7NGF-A.html
I love everything you say and do! I never get tired of hearing your beautiful exotic voice! Maybe those other people have a point of you to consider, yet I think elephants are so smart and they know you by love them and they know that you are there for them! So I don’t think you’re imposing or disrupting the process at all!! GOD BLESS YOU SWEETHEART!! If you ever come to the Sedona area PLEASE CALL ME, I would love to put you up~ Drive you around, take you on tours, pay for everything!! Please consider it or at least respond by calling or emailing so I know that there is a possibility we could connect with each other OK
noticed that the baby's skin turned from a soft smooth texture to a hardy wrinkly texture - in a couple of hours. Must be a survival thing. The mom would probably be way less stressed if a line of vehicles where not facing her and her brand new baby. Audio was a bit excessive - practice what you preach and keep it quiet next time. But thank you tons for the amazing video.
I think it’s so wrong for humans to invade the privacy of this elephant mum and baby- as if humans haven’t done enough harm to wildlife and nature , and still humans keep invading each and every inch of this planet and spoiling it! The mother elephant was also probably stressed by the jeeps and noise around- Shame real shame on you people !!!
Totally agree. Humans control God, nature. Wish they would leave her alone! Then herd would come. If people want to interfear, a bottle of electrolytes formula massage and tight wrap more important than chatter. Mon knows. Humans don't.
If it wasnt for this reserve and the people here to help them they would be all poached, habitats are getting scarce and scarce - another it pays for anti poaching police that risk there lives everyday to catch these poachers - as far as elephants and animals living in the wild and free away from danger, well that ship has sailed - if it wasnt for these reserves they would be on there way to a mass extinction -
I saw another video where they explain it a little more can you link that video i forget what video it was, this is a true tragedy that was a strong baby to go i think the other video said 10-4? or 3? i forget but it was a long long time with nothing but dehydration and heat... i felt so bad.
I wish the commentator did not constantly talk throughout the entire video other than answering questions and providing vital information but cooing and telling the viewers she wants to hug the baby elephant is annoying! It prevents viewers from enjoying the scene. But yet the commentator tells others to be quiet. Really quite annoying.
KMA. You’re welcome, as they say! It’s very easy to get a word, any word, a bit wrong don’t you think! Too many words in the English language confuse me often! And I’m English!
