I purchased a black one because of this video and I FREAKING LOVE IT!!! It's great to know that you won't lose your gun when running, jumping, climbing, tripping, or doing any other athletic motion. It's fast and very secure and IT FITS ALL MY GUNS!!! I'm getting one for my son's gun as well as a black one for myself.
this is the 9th or 10th video i've watched about safariland paddle holsters.. i'd love to see someone do a video showing what it looks like actually wearing the darn thing, i'd like to see how it rides, and how it looks when wearing a light cover garment or a large shirt... good video, good info.. but my quest continues lol
Picked one up in 2020 for $40 new. It fits my FNS 9 and FNS 40 Longslide. The FNS 9C doesn't feel as good in it, but the rest are fine. Great deal to have so many other guns that can be used in this holster. Thanks for review.
does come already set up for outside the waistband for right hand? says its for concealment but they dont clearify if its iwb or owb. would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for the little tip about the catch on the trigger for the 1911. We fitted it in the store and I was losing my mind trying to figure out what I was doing wrong when I got home. Turns out if you add the shim to the holster, it won’t hang up the trigger hold. Works like a charm.
Just got one last week myself. I needed a quick holster for a shoot with a new gun and was waiting for my new crossbreed. Found it at my town shop for 38.00 and it fits 48 different models from 19 different companies........thought it was a great addition that works well.
I went into an Academy looking for the new Blackhawk Omnivore! Didn’t find it! Glad I didn’t cause I found this one and gave it a try. I use it on my Canik TP9sf elite and instantly fell in love with it! Later I bought the Omnivore just to give it a try, went to the range with it! Took it back the same day! Was not impressed as I was with the Safariland holster.
Mine should be here any time now. Ordered it straight from safari land. It’s been a real pain in the ass finding a holster for my vp40 but this ones got that in its list!
Great video, after seeing this I decided to buy one for my m17 and it works great. Like you I was use to the button on the front or up top on there duty holster but this works great. I like this better then having the button on the front. This will work till I can order another Safariland duty holster. Picked this up in the store for 41 bucks. Didn’t wanna wait a month or two for them to ship me one haha
Thanks for the video! I was on their website about to order this for IDPA pistol training, and I figured I'd see if anyone had a RU-vid video on it. Great stuff here
The 1911 pistol take the extra shim that should have come with the holster. That will correct the issue with the locking tab not returning to the unlock position. I have one of these for my M&P Shield 45 and had to install the shim.
Bought mine a month ago for $42.00.Got their only box of 200 rounds 9mm for $50.00.And my G3 Taurus for $249.00.At Rural King.Going back this week for the G3c.
@@skinny4 Check to make sure the Hellcat is listed on the fit chart, should be on the back of the package. They have different models of this holster so make sure its correct for that pistol.
Have you tried to use that Belt Clip yet? (How did you like it? ) We have this exact same holster, and the belt used is a mere 3/16" thick; yet too thick to feed the belt through. (We had to pull it through with pliers. And cannot use it as intended. So basically, we use a normal belt like a utility belt; around the waste.
Hey, thanks for the review; i just got mine. Do you know what the flat rounded piece with two drill holes are for? It came with the bag of accessories but Safariland sucks at explaining what does what.
If I remember correctly it's for different shaped triggers. Have to disassemble the holster to change it out. I never really messed with it as it fit the majority of my guns as it came out of the package.
I got this holster hoping it would work for my ATI FXH 45 1911 hybrid but unfortunately It doesn't fit. Should I try to mod the holster or is there something else I can do?
It just depends how it's not fitting. If it's to loose try adding the shim and see if it makes a difference. I'm not familiar with that pistol so in afraid I'm not going to be much help but maybe someone will chime in that knows.
im confused on the Safari Land site... when you enter your weapon, it does change the SKU... so it doesn't actually fit 225 weapons unless they make it for them... in the cart, it says its going to take 60 days.. anyone have experience with this. Seems like one holster is NOT going to fit both my beretta 92 and my M&P Shield...
says its a concealment holster. does it say whether its a left or right handed draw? im looking into one but need for outside the wasteband so if its made for inside the waistband i would think id need the left handed draw to wear outside as a right handed draw? can u confirm this?
Its an OTW holster and right hand draw. The concealment holster just means it rides a bit higher and has a smaller footprint compared to other holsters.
@Michael Wolff Thanks for letting me know. I'll be using the M9A3 for IPSC initially, so the pistol will have to fit nicely into the holster. I might have to spend more time researching it...
I have the S&W SD9ve, and including your video just now and another one today I have seen no less 10 different guns go into that holster and and yet they say it won't fit mine. SMH :(
@@TacticalWingnut I put the extended take down bar in mine which has caused some problems but generally the holsters give a in a little. Thanks, it's nothing new for me and trying to finding a decent holster. Thanks Anyway!
Sorry to burst your bubble but that system is dangerous. Why? The same way you grabbed it will be the same way a bad guy will grab it. If a bad guy comes from behind you and just grabs and pulls gun out you won't be able to take action? I've seen that holster and its so easy to naturally grip the gun and yank it out of the holster. That's not good. Anyone could do it from behind. I suggests you get another model with the thumb tab level 1 or level 2 safety holster. I know what I'm telling you.
