Just like in A Fine Romance, you've got Michael & Judi both working together. They got married in February 1971 and, whereas Judi's still acting, Mike threw in the towel in 1999...two years before he died.

I was about the same age as the kids featured in this film in 1983, and well remember fitting plugs myself. We always seemed to have one plug too few, and my mum would ask me to take the plug off the iron and put it on the vacuum, etc. I suppose they at least encourage kids to have their work checked in the film,. All academic now, I suppose, with all new appliances needing a fitted plug.

That sort of use of needing to change fuses in plugs was never an issue here in the US where most outlets and plugs were standard.

lol spin dryers only took a few hundred watts, 5 amp was the correct fuse :p (inrush current). Yes i'm sat on youtube at 46 yrs old correcting a Public information video almost as old as me. Get off my lawn
