Thank you! I can't believe my channel is 13 today. With the time, money and effort I've put into this thing, I think it's fair to call my channel my child😂
I felt so validated as a witch seeing you completely remake and adjust the spell to what you had on hand, as well as working around the moon phase and such lol. I do the same with a lot of premade spells, I use them as sort of a jumping off point, just to get a feel for the kind of spell I am wanting to do and then adjusting it according to what I have. It feels a little better than starting a spell from scratch.
I love that you basically took the idea of the spell, the intention for safe travel, and then made a whole new spell based on what felt right to you to match that intention. Super fucking cool! Thank you!
Olivia this is a great example of how to adapt spells .. sort of like cooking. you just use the recipe in cooking as a guide and you can add or subtract an ingredient to what you have on hand and what you want. Lesson from your video is adapt spell recipes to what you have as well as the time element. Also similar to cooking shows if you really do need to follow the spell or recipe to the letter for a more stronger effect, you can at least demonstrate what you would do or have to perform a specific spell. Similar to cooking shows that have "swap outs" that is for demonstration purposes. As you have said before, performing spells or rituals etc is a personal activity. I love your sense of humor as well! Great video!
So, I'm a new practitioner - and fancy myself somewhat intuitive in my craft, so I *literally do this all the time* : I look up a spell for whatever, and then change nearly everything about it because my intuition said so. (Also - I don't live in the US, so some things are harder for me to get a hold of - I make do with what I got). Makes me feel even more validated in my craft and how I go about things.
cackling at the fact that you're in the corner like this is a gaming channel. I feel like the point of making a video on doing a spell from a book is to actually follow the spell in the book... but I love that you did your own thing with it because it's genuine and very realistic. awesome video, very excited for this mini-series.
Olivia this is a really great video! I always feel like you're really teaching us. I appreciate your vids very much. I wish and hope you're having a great day today! Hail Mother Hekate.
I absolutely love this video, I think a lot of people will take a spell and drive it into the ground, trying to be exact, and my personal opinion, that's not what magic is about. That's not what spells are for, and I love that you showed this in this video, how adaptable spells are. Thank you for that.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who "does a spell from a book" like this 😂 Even when I'm following my own written spells they still end up slightly different each time. Would love to see more spell tweaking videos like this!
This was interesting & informative to me. I like learning about different religions though I'm a Christian. I like this video very much. I hope her friend has safe travels.
This is exactly how I use spellbooks, honestly. Take what feels right from the given spell and then adapt it to fit my circumstances and what I have on me. I tend to use them more as suggestions than as set-in-stone instructions, like reference material. I feel it always works better when you adapt based on your needs instead of taking what's written as the only way to do it.
Can we get an example of your clean up after a spell. There are so many different ways, some people dump it all in a trash, or bury it, or even wash it down the drain. But I still haven’t found the best method for clean up after creating a spell.
5:05 YES! This is EXACTLY how starting a spell usually begins. Its not like I went to Diagon Alley last week for my school list 😂 I got half a candle , a quarter of a sage, oils, books and tons of random glassware- let's bend some reality
You are making me feel old. I’ve had some of my books for over 20 years. Shhh! Don’t tell anyone. This is a great idea for a spell series so I look forward to seeing more!
You are one of my mentors for sure in a community that is pretty hard to find information about and I resonate with the content you put out so much. Thank you.
im laughing so hard how quickly that derailed XD great representation of spell crafting though, inspired by a random idea, immediately change all the stated elements, and start creating something new and more personal
I can already tell I am going to love this series. Very Informative for people like me that don't know where to begin and feel very overwhelmed from just reading strait from a book. Thank you. 😍😍
Both of my sisters are going overseas next year, so this gave me the idea of doing something similar. It's very interesting to see how you adapt prewritten spells into something that works for you, I think it's definitely something I need to work on.
Same! My little sister is headed overseas on a one way ticket with no real idea where she's heading, and my older sister is heading on a planned trip for six weeks, and I also have my first international trip coming up! Super keen to do something like this!
I luv the way you adapted this spell and made it your own, both from necessity and intuitively. I feel that doing this, making the spell your own instead of blindly following someone else's recipe makes it more meaningful and powerful.
I LOVE this!! I love how real and raw you were. Especially during the execution. A lot of times in the videos witches make they either won't show the ritual or edit it to be some movie like thing and this was so real and raw and was so helpful. Even when small issues came up like how the bracelet sat in the triangle you didn't edit it all out you just kept repositioning it. Thank you for this video! I am so excited for what's next!!
I love that you make spells for friends. It's such a nice way to show people you care and it is super personal to you as well. It just makes me happy lol.
"Where's my salt?" XD accurate. I adore your videos - how educational and informative they are, how visually and thematicaly stunning. Absolute comfort creator.
Love seeing the process of how other witches cast spells! It’s really cool to see how intuition based spell-crafting can look as well🍂 Everyone have a safe week and bountiful new waxing moon
Love love love this video. So helpful to see how you improvised. I often feel lost when I don’t have items and you so effortlessly did your own thing on the fly. Thank you so much!!!❤
I love that intro. What a fun idea for a new series. I haven't picked up my copy of Moon Spells in a while either. Thanks for the reminder to look through some of the ones I have.
Thank you for putting out such informative content. I am just now opening up my witchy conscious. I am older and for years ignored my blessings the universe has bestowed upon me. I am finding the most important part is remembering the simple. You have continued to remind me of that. The universe already has it available for you, you just have to embrace it and manifest it.
Gorgous spellworking. Thank you for the information you gave to. Hope your friend has a lovely time aboard especially knowing shes going to be safe and protected x
oh I already LOVE this series. my favorite thing is to improvise in my practice, so seeing how you make someone else's spells your own is very interesting. that's why they call it a craft, after all, isn't it?
Love this video! Its very aesthically pleasing, its beautiful art! And the content... love it to... I recently watched lots of your video's and now whit this one, I know now wat you mean by working with wat you have. And by the way... learned a lot from your video's... and I'm doing my own research and I'm writing everything down! I'm very grateful for your beautiful work!❤
This was a great video as always! I’m also so excited for this “series” I’ll literally be looking forward to it every single day/week or how often you decide to post. These videos will literally be the highlight of my day!
So enjoyed this. I also kinda make up my own spells, rituals Taking idea from books I have read as some can be super detailed and compicated However I have worked spells over time 2 I'm actual impressed to say my practice looks very similar..
A while back I went to the bar to see my buddies band play. When I got there I poured some table salt onto a saucer, drew a pentacle in the salt and cast a spell of safety and happiness on the room...Right away his exgirlfriends face came out of the crowd with hate in her eyes and she was with her new boyfriend...Oop! It must have been an awkward show for my brother and I learnt by casting a safety/happiness spell you can bring the contradictions to the spell out of the crowd ... positive magic but next time I will be waiting to see the effects until the spell clears...She literally walked to the saucer of salt to make herself seen...
That Intro is actually magical. And sorry random question 😭 what’s the intention behind enclosing the bracelet in the salt? Is it to keep the energy in? and is it helpful to do that for all applicable workings? Or was it just an intuition thing
Personally, I interpret it symbolically. The bracelet will now give the wearer a wall of protection, just as the salt offered the same to the bracelet.
@@TheWitchsRattle oh yeah this would make sense, I have just seen some people surround their workings in a ring of salt to ‘keep the energy contained’ but I don’t know how common that belief/practice is or if that was the intent here but I’m guessing not ???
It's sympathetic magic, in a way. Incasing it symbolizes protection, but also using protective ingredients, the idea is that the ingredients charge the time with that protective energy, and the triangle is a protective shape that empowers it more so as well. Good question!
Ok A) that intro was amazing! B) it was cool to get to see your process in adapting a spell from a book and I look forward to seeing more in this series :) ❤
Olivia, this was amazing!! Great job!! A step by step guide is exactly what I was looking for. Any chance you can do one for luck / prosperity or finding a great job?
