What do you personally do if/when you have a pilot chute in tow mal? Do you cut away and go for reserve? Or do you go for reserve first without cutaway
you gotta cutaway first, if you have a pilot chute in tow because of a tight loop or a non cocked pilot chute it might not have the power to open the container in freefall but once you open the reserve there will be less pressure in the pin and the pilot chute hanging behind you while you fly your wing might open the main container and start to inflate you main, if you cutaway before you open the reserve and the same thing happens the main will disconnect immediately almost certainly
