34 now. - looking back on this song and i can remember being 22 years old. I worked my butt off to barely afford this BMW I had wanted so badly. I remember driving it to my girlfriend house and couldn’t wait to show her. She hopped in and played this song for me while we drove around and got ice cream on this perfect summer day. This song has stuck with me ever since.
After searching "music video with singer tied up to chair", "music video with band in desert", and "music video with female hits male in face with statue". Getting upset because I couldn't find then saying to myself "this make me so mad"......wait a minute.....mad????..... Something must have made me so mad. YASSSSSSSSS
I heard this song in a store where I was shopping recently. Had no idea who sang it or the name of it- just bits from the chorus. Google, a friend to all :-D
Still here in 2022. This song always reminds me of a girl I used to know in highschool. We had some amazing times together and then randomly out of the blue she stopped talking to me. Wouldn't look at me. It was like I didn't exist. I had a lot of dark times because i always thought it was something I did. It had to be me. Even though she put me through so much pain a part of me still loves her. I hope wherever she is today that she is truly happy and that she found the right person for her.
Maybe it's cause she found out you are one of those lame ass people who post the year you're watching a video in. You probably also love to say how underrated songs/bands are too.
this sounds like a song from a different time in a different universe.... it's just so different to the stuff i listen to now, but i clearly remember this being my jam when i was 17 years old and always in love. lol
I know this song is 12 years old but I just now found this song. How come I didn’t find this sooner!? Ether way, I’m just glad I found this master piece
Been to enough concerts to honestly say this band has an energy and stage presence that is matched by no band out there today! They go into shows as an opening act and leave with more people talking about them then the actual headliner... Amazing band, great songs, great lyrics, and even better guys!
They came to my school!!!!!!! After watching them live in concert, I have to say it was AWESOME and now my expectations are very high every time I go to a concert .It seems no other artist will have the energy they did.
Lyrics [Verse 1] Walking out the door this morning wondering What it is that's going on with you, on with you Thinking of a way to say I'm sorry for something that I'm not sure I'd do, Sure I'd do [Pre-Chorus] So come on baby let me in And show me what this really is cause [Chorus] Something must have made you say that What did I do to make you say that to me? Something must have made you so mad What can I do to make you say, "come back to me"? [Verse 2] Hoping for a moment that I turn around And you'll be coming after me, after me Cause all that I can say is that it's obvious, It's obvious you're all I see, all I see [Pre-Chorus] So come on baby let me in And show me what this really is about Cause I can't read you Come on baby let me in And show me what this really is cause [Chorus] Something must have made you say that What did I do to make you say that to me? Something must have made you so mad What can I do to make you say, "come back to me"? Come back to me [Bridge] And I'll be here in the morning if you say "stay", If you say "stay" to me, oh And I'll be here in the morning if you say "stay", If you say "stay" to me, oh oh And I'll be here in the morning if you say "stay", If you say "stay" to me, oh [Chorus] Something must have made you say that What did I do to make you say that to me? Something must have made you so mad What can I do to make you say, "come back to me"? Something must have made you say that What did I do to make you say that to me? Something must have made you so mad What can I do to make you say, "come back to me"?

So the hot chick playing the outlaw girlfriend is actually his wife in real life, which makes this video even more perfect because they are not only a hot couple, but their chemistry is wonderfully obvious! I really do hope they Stay together :)
Seen these dudes last night in Concert w/ Daughtry... They rocked the house!! Have never heard of them before last night and now I cant get enough of them!
This, Shinedown, Matt Nathanson and Jason Mraz. These songs all came out around the same time and I remember getting ready for school with vh1 early morning.. for some reason it’s bringing tears. I miss those days
I completely felt this the morning my ex broke up with me,I was wondering what I had done wrong and was trying to think of a way to say sorry and fix it,as I always had to,then this song started playing as I was getting dressed and I broke down easily the rest of the day.....Safetysuit deserves more fans, they freaking rule
I was listening to a song by Thrice, a group from whom I only know one song, and there was some guitar part or feeling that just resurrected a long-dormant but deep part of my psyche. I remembered that the name of the song was Stay and that I used to listen to it constantly as a young adolescent (I'm nearly 29 now), but I couldn't recall the band. Took me a bit, but after scrolling through probably like a hundred songs with the word "stay" in them, I found it. God bless you guys. I know it's a cliche, but they really just don't make music like they used to. We're such a cynical culture now. Very little music that has come out since the late 2000s (but really the early-mid 2010s) has the same sincerity, earnestness, and simplicity. Where's the romance? Where's the tenderness? Still here.
OH MY GOD! I have been searching for this song for hours. It was driving me crazy because I couldn't remember the band's name or the name of the song. I could only remember the concept of the video.
When I first heard this song it took me a brutal amount of time to finally find it, 'cause that feeling you get when you hear a song that you really like, but that you just can't seem to for whatever reason find it or know what it even is.... aka it just drives you fuckin' crazy. :(
SAFETYSUIT has yet to reach its potential! We should spread the word! Specially us, long time fans of Safetysuit! I feel so proud be a long time fan of them! Their songs make my heart flutter, sink, break and mend once more ^-^
Well...... ya, I really, really like this song. But something tells me...... that if they haven't realized their "potential" by now, we did end up with a cool song. Of course.... I'm writing this in September, 2023. 🤷♂️
Safetysuit came to my base in japan and like noone knew how famous they were,,, but I LOVED THEM! I love his voice!!! and his style!! literally fell in love with his voice
I've always listened to alternative rock music and I've just barely found this song/group 11/06/2019, it's such a beautiful song, they remind me of Filter and Our Lady Peace.
This is a great song, its about making the tough decision between work and love. Love is more important, what makes happier? Working...or being in Love with someone who feels the same.
I love everything about this song. The way he sings it, the band is incredible. I pull it up sometimes and show my boys to look at the drummer and listen to the lead guitar.
I saw this on vh1 music on TV years ago... During one of what I thought was the worst year of my life.. I was no older than 13... Here I am, going through another terrible unforgettable year in 2020, the most difficult of them all, about to turn 24,and this song hits me as hard as it did back then..
Saw them open for Goo Goo Dolls a couple years back and Doug (the singer) took a selfie with me in the audience during this song! A moment to remember for sure!
By far the most relatable song for me, ever. The only woman I'll ever love who used to love me now hates and is terrified of me. And I can't even talk to her about it to find out how I can fix things. Not a minute goes by where it doesn't haunt me. I'd do anything to have her ask me to stay.
2008 vh1 hearing this in the morning thinking I could relate to this song then but am listening to it now in 2024 and this is literally my current relationship lol 😢
2009 was a good/great/awesome/extreme year for music. i believe our generations best year for music was 2009 when songs had meaning and emotion and wasn't about sex, drugs, and alcohol
