Hello all, I produced this song. I was also in the video as the keyboard player. This was the jam back then. I had people singing this to me in the street. Marc wrote this. Awesome times.
@LaMona1965 this is from promo only I used to have a subscription. I do have every vinyl record freestyle ever made on vinyl and put on CD and plus I have a large collection on vinyl records including this one with the mixes on each side
Definitely today's music make no sense. No originality. Garbage. Thank I enjoyed the 80s. The best decade. Old school music. Another time another era. Let's travel back.
I remember this playing nonstop on POWER 95 - HOT 97 - & Z100 with Scott Shannon back when Lower East Side Manhattan was Popping with sensations...OMG.....
Hot 97 and 103 always sponsored freestyle concerts. I was blessed to live during this time in NYC and be able to see so many of my favorite artists. This song is definitely one of my favorites.
I always loved her music and freestyle music . When I was in the navy I used to trade freestyle cds with one of my navy buddy's and this song reminds me of my youthful days and my crazy wild party nights in new york city night clubs . Her music is iconic and so is freestyle music .
I remember her being interviewed by Joan Rivers on her show years ago. Joan asked her what her real name was and she repiled, "Wilma". And Joan said, "Well, I'm glad you changed it". Lol
I want to say something about her talent, especially for her age, but I’m having trouble putting it to words. She just amazes me, been a fan of her music from day 1.
The rack was written by Marc Anthony, who would have his own hit a few years later with "I Need to Know," around the time that Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias were leading the next wave of Latin music crossovers.
Lol good to hear this one of my all time faves barely turning into teen years reminds me of San Jose high swimming and pretending to swim hanging on to the sides😂
It really fills me with joy having RU-vid to show me just how much beauty existed behind the songs I grew to know as a teen. Putting a face to the voices really completes the experience for me decades later.. Mujeres Que rico
I don’t remember where it reached on the the charts but I do remember it was really underrated. Great song and was played in clubs for years. I feel so lucky I was able to jam in the clubs to freestyle.
She's a great performer.a great voice but there was so much competition back then!it's hard to say who was the best in freestyle?out of her Cynthia judy Torres Lisa Lisa lisette Melendez etc.etc.personally imo they are all pretty much equal..toss up between saphire and Cynthia.....
Check out Safire's newest song called Give It Back My Heart right here starting my Megamix!! Incredible voice has never changed!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y7b1_A7Izns.html
