Tahdig is the crispy crust that forms on the bottom of the pot, which is always served muesli and tastes incredibly delicious. Tahdig comes in many different variations and today I'll show you three of them that you can also make in the rice stove.
If you want to prepare the rice in the pot, take a look at my saffron rice video, because there I explain how it goes in the pot.

You can find the rice stove here: bit.ly/2NmQFES
Ingredients:
-Basmati rice
-Saffron (How to Saffron: bit.ly/2MX8t9V) (Saffron rice bit.ly/2ReBcZk )
-water
-oil
-Salt
-potatoes
-Sesame
-thin bread
1. For the variation you should wash the rice and let it soak in salted water for at least 30 minutes
2. U get those cups with the rice cooker. One Cup is about 1-1,5 portions depends on your rice.
Mix water and rice 1:1 in your rice cooker ( here I had 4 cups dry rice and 4 cups of water - depends on the rice how much water you use, but basmati usually is 1:1)
3. At this point you can add saffron if you want saffron rice with saffron crunch or leave it without
4. Add oil in the ratio 1:2 with the rice. I had 4 parts rice so I add 2 parts oil (tbsp size)
5. add a little salt mix all well and let ist cook with the timer you want.
- For the Bread-Sesame Tahdig
I use lebanese thinn bread which I place in the bottom of the rice cooker and then go on with steps 1.-5.
Mix the rice gently
-For the Potato Tahdig
cut the potatos in 0,5-1cm thinn slices. Add a little Oil in the rice cooker bottom and place the slices and go on with the steps 1.-5. . Here mix gently, too.
Have fun :D
