Sage had to leave while his value was still high. The UFC and Sage was not a good fit just yet he needs time to grow as a fighter and get better. He showed at times that he was going to be great and at times he seemed timid. I think he left at the best time to make great money and grow some more as a fighter and he will do nothing but get better there and also build more followers in the process. Dana gets new fighters and expects them to all be perfect and come in and make them tons of money without thinking of the fighters and what may be best for them. Then again you can not blame him for that his job is to make money. Sage i think will prove a lot of people wrong and in time he will become a belt holder.

Everybody ripping Sage for looking at the camera vs the interviewer. So he's young and not the smooth cosmopolitan!? He probably hasn't ever been told to talk to the interviewer, not the camera. Not everyone has the natural ability to be comfortable in front of a camera. It takes a maturity and sense of presence to be comfortable w/ a camera pointed at you and those bright lights can be distracting. I hope he does well and widens his skill sets and, just maybe, fights for a belt or two. He has so much potential!

UFC is American. So it's better at promotion and hype. They revel in the culture of 'beefs' and 'animosity' as promotion tactic. Being American they also have more opportunity to make money. Money is the American metric for better. Humility is not an American business standard. If you make more money, you are better. One Championship is based on mutual respect of the competing fighters. Everyone is promoter on social media. The fighters' origin stories come are closer to fans hearts. The top fighter in both tournaments are on par. The heavyweight and light heavyweight division is far more diverse in UFC. The flyweight and middleweight division pool potential for ONE Championship is astronomic.
