Saghbine is a Lebanese village located in the west of the Bekaa valley, approximately 73 kilometers (45.3622 mi) from Beirut The capital of the country. It rises to an altitude of 1145 meters (3,756,745 ft-1,252,172 yd) from sea level and extends over a surface of 1465 hectares (14.65 km²-5.6549 mi ²)
The origin of the name ' Saghbine ' comes from the strength and stubbornness of its villagers. However, in the Lebanese encyclopedia, it is said that Saghbine comes from Aramaic and designates its Escarpées mountain trails.
