24 years ago my husband told me he was no longer attracted to me because I was too fat. It devastated me and crushed my soul. Only recently, I decided to reenergize my spiritual self, wanting to get back to my old self. I knew I couldn't raise my consciousness without forgiving and forgetting. I decided to confront my husband about how what he did affected me. He claimed I was being a victim and that I had turned into a bitch since that time. Nothing he said actually affected me. I told him he would never be able to crush my soul again and that I would not allow him to kill my dreams. That a new me was in town and that was that. Surprisingly, he started to change and realized how what he had done had changed us and said he regretted it. He has since decided he wanted to get back to the way we used to be. I wrote down all my thoughts about everything and let him read it and told him that there had to be balance moving on. Things have gotten better. We are working on it. You don't just walk away form a marriage that is 44 years long, but he knows I am still feeling like I have to protect myself. I am putting myself first at this point. I'm not willing to put up with much of anything I don't like anymore. I found your comment about being the spark to be spot on. I'm looking to expand my circle of girlfriends and activities and enhance my life in the spiritual realm. Thank you for great insight. .

Dont think its boredom. If I want something new its because my needs are not being met. That is the meaning of self love. Its only natural to regret when you have allowed years of life to be a mess or stagnant. Stability is not stagnation, boring or mundane. I know you're the messenger, not the message BUT , on the contrary? If someone doesn't know how to make others happy then it'll be harder to seek happiness than to self fulfill it. Its very easy to self love imo,I don't think wanting to be happy is necessarily a co-dependency, but it does balance out two people's purpose.
I've completely lost faith in my ability to spark anything, with anyone, aside from my children. I know it's me, but it's just who I am and I don't have the energy to pretend otherwise anymore. It makes me sad because I wish I could be a better example to my children.
