I've had this cd for probably close to 15 years now, and this is my favorite track on it. The highlight of this song is the drummer from 5:32 - 6:30. He just started gettin stank faced nasty with. (YHEESH!😬) Gentleman, the funky buzzard has entered the building!
The Guardian brought me here also. Sounds like James Brown is still alive and about to sing with these guys..............too bad he's not here to do so. He'd fit perfectly with these dudes, eh? Hot!!!
I've known this song for a while, but for some reason only now I'm making the connection with the movie Superbad, as if this was the soundtrack for that movie!
@Buckeyecat2002 At this juncture, Nigeria musicians were mixing African rhythm with funk. This period also started the increasing domination of Africa's native rhythm by imported sound.
Very nice...those were different times. I wonder which band from Jos is around now...maybe you can tell me...and in the light of the happenings of course no band can play now...all is so sad and crazy...it depresses me and yesterday's tooo of course. however, I wish you a Happy MMXI
For the youngsters this is music for old people, nowadays they shake their boodies to evil gangster-rap that's about killing people, treating women like slaves and making money ...
