Global Biobanking Insights: Lessons and Perceptions from an International Conference and Collections

This talk reflects on the lessons and perceptions gained from attending the ISBER 2024 Annual Meeting and Exhibits and touring a Collections and Biobank facility, while highlighting significant learnings and concepts that can potentially be utilised in our own Biobank facility.
Overall, the opportunity offered a comprehensive understanding of global biobanking practices, enabling attendees to identify areas of similarities and differences between the different types of Biobank facilities and their operations to work toward short and long term planning to advance the field of biobanking and its contribution to scientific research and conservation efforts.
