A very emotional version of Saigo No Iiwake sung by it's original singer Hideaki Tokunaga at a Japanese TV show. Be prepared to hold back your tears :(
i know this song from.my brother in 1997...but now he go to heaven. for the ten year i looking this song, and now i find this song after ten years..i love this song...so long brother...god bless you in heaven.
He is a pure person. He loved writing and singing songs that came from his heart. However, in order to create hit songs, he was forced to write commercial songs and was thinking of quitting singing. "ichiban daiji na mono" is "his own music". These tears are the result of an overflowing feeling that his own music is going far away.
As a child, I used to listen to the Filipino version by Ted Ito back when I was not feeling well and it helped me fall asleep. I even thought it's his original piece because I wasn't yet into Jpop music, until I discovered the original version way back in senior high as I randomly play videos related to Ito's song "Ikaw Pa Rin",there I started to appreciate both original and the Filipino version. And those who misinterpreted Ted Ito's version as translated/copy, no it isn't. It's an adaptation according to what I've read in some sites, it's just that the melody is the same but with lower pitch/key to Ito's version (If you happen to view it on YT)😊 . Tokunaga's lyrics even when translated to English is far different from Ito's lyrics in Filipino. ❤️
It's the same thing when a person doesn't make his own song but use another person's song from another country and put his name on that song claiming as his/her own, then, that's still copying or plagiarism
@@erenyeagerist7681 i hope you read my comment carefully. Maybe u misinterpreted it as copying. What I'm saying is that Ted Ito just adapted the melody and sang it with Filipino lyrics, so it's called an adaptation. We can't say it's plagiarism or copying because, they still acknowledged the original version itself. I guess there's nothing wrong with adapting music as long as you are acknowledging the original one. Hope this is clear to you.
The Japanese people are sentimental and that is their culture and if they love somebody they really serious to love her with all their heart and soul !

Walang katotohanan nyan. Sadyang ganyan lang talaga sya kumanta as a singer, di lang sa kantang yan kahit sa ibang mga kanta na rin.
@@annyrosario8156 Most songwriters feel the melody of their compositions, esp. thru past life experience, that's why they are emotional when they sing it too. Lyrics meaning is consequent..
He is the composer and singer of this song. He dedicated this to his girlfriend who commit suicide out of jealousy for his being famous and she felt that she is being ignored😥
@@francezandreisarmiento4900 been reading that same comment somewhere before, but that was just a rumor😌. Never heard such about that issue. As his fan, he's very kind and would never do that. It's just that he's really putting emotions while singing, not just from that song.
I wonder what happened to make him so emotional. He always does a great job but Did he suffer a loss or was he not well. I read he had medical problems. He seems like a very nice person. Does anyone know if he is okay now.
Nothing medical reasons.. Most songwriters feel the melody of their compositions, esp. thru past life experience, that's why they are emotional when they sing it too. Lyrics meaning is consequent..
misfortune teller Thanks for this reply Just discovered Japanese music because of lockdown in California and really like this singer Worried that he was not well. I know what you mean about heartfelt emotions when singing or hearing certain songs.
@@gracebrown6351 I think you're right, it seems he suffered a loss. as i've read from comments, (not confirmed), his girlfriend committed suicide because he had no time for her. so this song he wrote dedicated for her gf.
Really quick update. He's still active and usually posts on his official IG (he sang the songs he performed on toyosu pit last june on igtv). He is now on his best state ,still handsome and fit. He released his album last june 2 entitled Love Person and released a music video titled You and Me. And no about the rumors of his ex-gfs suicide. Never heard such. Toku is a very nice guy. He is just emotional ( as always. He also cried during a concert 5-7years ago) .
@@ainohito4249 Thank you for taking time to reply. I really love his singing. He does seems to “give it his all.” I think he has such an amazing quality to his voice.
Japan ang original. Naging idol ko yan dahil sa tita ko. Japanese fanatic yun. yung kay Ted Ito, tagalog version lang yun. Di siya ang original. Saigo no iiwake ang original. In fact, rare lang sa Japanese ang mag-copy ng concept sa kanta, di nila ugaling mag version-version, dahil kaya nila gumawa ng sarili nilang kanta. Doon pa lang malabo ng "ikaw pa rin" ang original. Lol.
Tokunaga Hideaki is the original one. Alam nyo rin siguro yung For You ni Teresa Teng , kinanta nya rin un as cover sa Vocalists album series. He also have covers of First Love by Hikaru Utada , Single Again by Takeuchi Mariya (Lumayo ka man sa akin sa opm). Follow him on ig , sobrang active nya pa rin.
@@vernonchristianmarquez5664 actually there's a song titled Endless Story, melody is from the song If I'm Not In Love With You and aisatsuni ,melody from Don't Cry Out Loud. 😂😂😂
