I had this exact thing happen to me when I changed from a personal account to business adsense. RU-vid was infuriating to work with. They just kept doubling down on their obvious mistake with no explanation. Just keep demanding to have the case elevated to the next tier support and have it re-reviewed. Someone is able to do it even if they claim that its final. I had to talk to dozens of low level creator support before I got someone that would elevate it. Eventually they re-reviewed it and I was re-approved. Of course I still lost a couple thousand in revenue for the time my videos were de-monetized. I feel your pain. Frankly, Hollywood has their WGA, why not the RU-vid industry? That is an amazing idea! Don't forget that all contracts in Hollywood refer to the media in all forms, that should include RU-vid videos, so maybe WGA should consider onboarding RU-vidrs, but then they might interfere with your content, better start a new union.
I've been trying to warn them that they need to really take a serious Rethink on what they are planning to do, but they are refusing to listen. in fact they remind me of the large numbers of friends and neighbours I had who got Suckered in by the Self Sufficiency ideology of the 1970's and 2980's. Like them , I had a Smallholding, but was more interested un experimenting and testing, plus listened to the advice e of neighbours who had generations of farming experience on the same Land I had, so things like the Chronic Copper Deficiency of our Land altered how I approached growing things. I also knew that we had started the intensive use of NPK Fertiisers in 1820, and it was those that had driven the Victorian Golden Sge of Agriculture- with no I'll effects - which also blows Organic Growing out of the Water. So seeing Sail Life people making the same sort of mistakes is bloody heart breaking frankly. We're on the brink of really dramatic changes and they are throwing a Train zwreck Mil stone of a Project boat around their necks. just as the numbers of viewers of Boating Channels on RU-vid is Collapsing dramatically ? and frankly, it's a very bad sign that the only ones keeping their numbers up are the Sost Porn ones with bare flesh Tits and Bikinis as Click Bait ? They aren't even grasping what is happening to their own !arket ffs. It's really bloody discouraging frankly, and just like the damage friends and neighbours did to their Lives, with breaking up families, divorces, and forced selling of their properties, here comes another couple I really like, to add to that list ? Just because like the rest, they refuse to face Reality . 🤔😞

HERE HERE. This was the fIrst Sailing Channel I latched on to in 2015, While he was working on Obelix. This man reignited my passion for boats and sailing.

Another channel boat channel found that it looked like they would have to pay U tube £60 to host their content. The operators are not Google the owners ...and Google is having problems.. Today as you will have heard Cloudstrike or whatever crashed the world.. a update clash...what they haven't mentioned is the background of cyber crime and hacking that's led lots of the key players to have to start making changes and stop services to remove spywear and malware that's flooded the net over the past two to 3 years. Along with masses of bots and false accounts. In short it's them ... they cannot cope...and things may get worse. Financial transactions ...medical records ..insurance as much nuisance as they can create. 🧙🏻♂️ because the tech is not secure.
I have no practical advice to give on this matter Mads, except to say that having watched your channel, and all of your videos going back to creation, I was mentally gearing up for this latest catamaran project. You're at your best when converting electrical/physical energy into dust. One thing's for sure if anyone can solve this you guys can, don't give up, I rate this channel as one of the best, and I watch practically all of them 🤞💪.
Hi Mads, I have a total of 37 channels I subscribe to and yours is my number 1. Every Monday when I come home from work I watch your latest video and this has gone on for a few years now. The reason your my no 1 subscription is the very honest and patient way you go about solving problems, there is no ego or image or BS. I have also been refitting my grandparents old boat over the last few years here in Australia and your channel has been a great help to me. I really hope that youtube/adsense can come to the party and figure out a solution.
Hi Mat, If your using a shop vac or any vac try using paper towels wrapped around the filter two times and then use window screen mesh around once this will help cleaning the vac so you don't have to clean the filter, hope this well help. Love your Channel.
I started reading the "Google AdSense" policies and restrictions, FYI and the policies in whole. Reading contracts for the last 30 years all I can say is Google gets you into a "Catch 22" situation at almost every turn. At a quick glance of what could jam you up was having viewers click over another channel (Your new one) for support or advertising links that fall out of the policy for which. I'm searching for an on-line expert (Company) that can walk you through the process and paperwork, to speak of. If there is no such "expert" available, I might have found a side business to start. Changing emails and physical Adsense addresses in quick succession likely initiated an “account hijack” SOP and that’s why they won’t give you details because they don’t want to aid the wrong person or give insight into what triggers the process. Might be worth asking them if they need you to verify yourself.
That's a good point. But you'd think if they believe someone is trying to hijack an account they would automatically reach out to the actual owner to verify themselves, especially for large subscriber count channels. I wonder how many bronze, silver, and gold channels there are? You'd think they would earn at least some increased support for all the revenue they have fed Google....
I thought that too. But they don't use a human to make the determination. Why pay someone to make a considered judgement when you can just hire a tea lady to say no, and allow a computer program to make the real decision. I've been in so many meetings where rules based engine designers make stupid arbitrary decisions without thinking any further than morning tea time. Oh, I know, Rule 2. You can't have an apostrophe in a street name. So no one from O'Riordan Street can apply for a license! I'm not kidding here. Rule 3. You can't have a number in a street name. So no Americans or Mexicans can be injured in our international airport.

Mads, you probably know this already, but for what its worth, and off the Google Adsense site: "You can only have one AdSense or AdSense for RU-vid account under the same payee name per AdSense Terms and Conditions or AdSense for RU-vid Terms of Service, as applicable. Duplicate accounts will not be approved and monetization will be turned off for the associated RU-vid channel. When starting a new AdSense for RU-vid account, only create one through RU-vid Studio. Doing so on another site (such as the AdSense homepage) will not work." I hope that helps...Hang in there. We love what you guys do and want you to continue.
Creator Support told me the opposite when I reached out to them before starting this process. I had already created an AdSense account on the new email address and was told that was fine. Also, there was no issue going through the wizard (for swapping AdSense accounts). If it's something simple like that, it would be great, but Creator Support can't tell us what is wrong.

Same thing happened to Finn, my 18 yr old son. He’d been using my AdSense acct for his YT revenue, and when he turned 18 he tried to set up his own AdSense acct. They denied his request, demonetized his channel, and said he could try again in 30 days. He decided to stop putting videos out until he gets it sorted. He’s gonna just try to hop back onto my AdSense acct, for fear they deny him again. (His 30 days is almost up) I’m sorry you’re having to go thru this. Just don’t forget that we creators are slaves to the RU-vid conglomerate; they can shut us down for any reason at any time-if we say something offensive or politically incorrect or put something out there that they don’t like or agree with. Always make sure you have a separate source of income (get those sponsorships & integrated ads).
omg... I thought we were just some fluke accident. Turns out a number of bigger channels (including you guys) have issues too. This is terrible and a strong motivation to consider alternate sources of income.
Plenty of boatyards in South Florida, with your experience, you could easily get a side gig a couple days a week until you can get some real sponsors. I know Zatara is also on Rumble you might consider that and duplicating content. If all turned bad you could just do a video directing people over there. It's not as big as RU-vid but it is growing....
@@SailLifeno one, I mean no one, would be mad at you two if you had some integrations until this was sorted. Or from now on. Anyone with half a brain knows what integrations are and is no bother. Just make sure to be consistent with where they are used in the content. If always in the intro or right at 2min in, great. To me watching integrations help me feel I am doing what I can to support yall.

Hello Mads, I had a similar thing happen to me on Ebay. If you do something that the algorithm thinks is suspicious or potential fraud you will be locked out and nobody in their customer service will help you. The don't want to admit there is a problem with their application or loose face with the public. I would say the best option is to make a new account and move forward. You could waste a lot of time trying to get someone reasonable to help you and still come to a dead end. As Google is a gigantic company they hold all the cards. Regardless, I will still be watching your channel, good luck!
Call youtube content customer service again and again. In my experience (career Global IT guy here), it takes a few folks before getting to someone who really knows how to fix a complex int'l tech issue. I would treat it like calling the cable company; keep calling until you get that one person who knows everything. Anyway, I'm sure you've reached out to Delos, etc. Good luck!
I agree. Funny you mentioned the cable company. When dealing with them and having no luck, I will say, "Is there someone I can talk to that wears boots to work?" :)
What you should have done was to do this: (1) Create a new AdSense account in USA with another email address, USD bank account, etc. (2) Create a new RU-vid channel with any URL (you will change); (3) Upload all of your existing videos to the new channel (a lot of work, I know). (4) After that, change the URL of your current (existing) channel to something else. (5) Then change the URL of your new USD channel to the URL that you used now and then keep both channels operating so that you are earning for existing video links on the Internet in Danish currency and moving forward you would publish to the USD channel... or you can publish to both (up to you). You can still do this and then attempt to get the earnings restored to the old (current) channel.
And then you lose all data from all prior videos including the engagement data, crushing residual income as none will showup in suggestions. Not to mention that the new channel would have zero subscribers. Compounding the issue into many many many more issues is not a solution.
I am really looking forward to the new refit project even though, given the choice I generally prefer monohulls. The difference is that you will do an absolutely spiffing, DIY fun job of it.
The Attorney General needs to bring an anti-trust case against YT. They shouldn't be allowed to make money off content unless the creator is also making money off the same content.

Good luck, I've watched every one of your videos since you first started - because you are so good at what you do - and can endorse all the points you make. You always come across as ultra fair and open-minded - even when messed around by poor suppliers you give them the benefit of the doubt. I hope someone at RU-vid picks this up and makes amends for a very shoddy decision.

So sorry to hear about your predicament. I've been a viewer living out my unrealistic boat restoration and sailing hobby vicariously through you for at least a year now. I remain landlocked and frankly busy in my free time with my various other actual hobbies. I greatly enjoy your videos and I've learned a lot. Not a lot i'll ever likely be able to apply in real life but that's part of what makes it fun to tune in. I don't know if the Sampson boat Co channel Creator had the same issue you might get in contact or try to at least. You both have basically a similar circumstances I believe.
I think that it is ironic that Google, Adsense and RU-vid have different names but work as a single company are telling their creators that they can only have one channel.
I am really glad to see that other big sailing RU-vid channels have reached out to you and have offered advice and help! There is nothing better than these other creators, except for those that are part of your Patreon. These big companies are only in business to squeeze as much as they can out of creators, cab drivers and just about anything that you can think of.

Hopefully the information you learn from the Wynns and others who have had similar issues can help. I don't know the answer but I am confident someone can supply a contact that has delt with this before. You are not the only channel that has had this issue. These companies need to realize this is a two way relationship. They make revenue BECAUSE of you. You are a primary source of their success as well as your own. Business's need to understand, training their people to actually help their clients, instead of hiring a chair filler, is a win win model. This situation is pain is the ass. I know, but finding the right support individual is gold.

The mix of money, banking, foreign accounts, and the cloak and dagger attitude from G... you could be running into the Patriot Act. Maybe contact with a banker, legislator, tax lawyer would be helpful. Good luck!

Your videos are filled with such great information and knowledge around boat work, and it is obvious that you are highly skilled. Have you considered distilling down all the knowledge you’ve given away for free into a more easily digestible digital course that you could sell and maybe include a paid membership area for people that want to continue growing their skills or support each other in their own boat projects.

This seems to be a common issue. When you can get someone to talk to, they dumb saying not my issue and passing the buck down the line. These social media companies hide themselves behind a screen and don'twant to help. I'm very sorry you are going through this hassle and find someone who can help.

A while back it came out that there was a sailing channel that was falsely reporting other channels (I won't name any names) but they lost their channel and it very much impacted some other channels and they were brought to tears over it. Not saying this is happening again but it could be considering. Personally I think there is more than enough room for more sailing channels!
