Using the chapter breaks you can easily skip over sponsored ads if you don't want to watch them. The content is free to watch, but Nikki and Jason have to make a living somehow in order to keep making it. Sponsors are one way to do that. So enjoy the content, skip the ads if you don't want to watch them. Curious Minion

For the diesel containers, get a couple of carabiners, connected by some nylon cord. When filling, clip one end to the railing, one end to the handle of the container. If you drop it, at least it won’t fall into the ocean.

Love the diesel pouches. Might steal that idea. Tired of finding space for jerry cans. We were thinking of installing a third diesel tank that is 40 to 60 gallons as our "jerry can". And then all we would need is some kind of container to transfer from the gas station to the boat! So those are really good idea! Thx for sharing. Most people I've met with new boats, regardless of brand, have claimed to have spent at least 40% of their first 2 years in warranty repair or waiting for warranty repair. Not to mention all the delays and missed deadlines on their boat being built. So that all seems pretty "normal" but not fun. If I could recommend one thing. DO NOT COMPROMISE on those engines. You might even want independent survey of that coolant issue. HH/Beta is going to do everything they can to avoid installing a new engine. If you're getting seawater into the wrong area, that's not good. Can you clean it and it probably ok? Sure. But it's a brand new engine and you just put a ton of wear and rust on the inside of that heat exchanger. They should replace the entire thing, and you should have them check all seals and make sure that seawater didn't get into anywhere else. All that warranty work is already factored into what you paid. Use it! Don't let anyone half ass fixing those things now, or you will regret later!

28:45 That seems to be Moringa tree. Both the leaves and the fruit pod are edible. Apart from being used in the Philippines, they are often used in the South-Indian dish called 'Sambhar' which is a sauce kind of dish had along with rice or dosa etc.

We love seeing fermentation alive and well with you guys way out on your sailboat! 💓 Here's a good trick with tepache to get the most out of your pineapples. You can make BONUS batches with the same pineapple scraps! Filter off your done tepache, add sugar and spices to the pineapple scraps, refill with non-chlorinated water, and ferment again. We usually make up to five batches! They taste a little lighter every round but still just as delicious and fermented. We always look forward to your episodes. Enjoy! 🍍🍺

@anthonyrstrawbridge
@anthonyrstrawbridge 2 месяца назад
Add to it the erratic screen operation - artifacts and one might hypothesize leaking diodes at the alternator/ generator and or failing diodes and leaking capacitors at a power supply. I generally test the DC Power using the multimeter set to AC. Any AC current in the DC system is a fail. I'm often amazed at how many technicians don't check. Two or three failed screens or other solid state failures people still don't know. Yes folks, AC current can ride on the DC supply like a ghost - cooking electrical components like a slow simmer. One failed diode at the alternator - regulator is the perfect scenario. This also causes FLA batteries to deteriorate significantly faster often a few months. 😊

Hi Jason , hang your fuel bags on your life line, then get a syphon line, here (US) any auto store carries them. Syphon lines have a pellet the size of a marble in a rigid tube, you stick one side on your fuel bags and when you shake the tube with the pellet it will start the syphoning . They cost only a few dollars and you can use maybe two at the same time. They also will not take space when stored. Frederick PS. About 12.00 USD. @ AMAZON

On the fishing boat who cut in front of you...We are going sailing in Thailand soon on our first charter, and in my research, I read that locals there think it is bad luck to go over the wakes of other boats, so they will always try to cross in front of you. Not sure if this applies to the Philippines, but it may answer why so many locals go out of their way to cut in front of you.

Hi Folks, I do home brewing, you can brew most fruits into wines and beers this way, some will take longer than others, it depends on the strain of yeast the fruit contains. it's similar to making your mother for your sour doe bread or kombucha. Rhubarb works very well and so do apples, I have made Cider up to 13%ABV, and Rhubarb wine up to 28%ABV. just thought you might like to know. Have an experiment for a bit of variety, see what you get.

They have so many vitamins and minerals that in some countries if it wasn't for the moranga they would die. I got me some seeds on Amazon to grow. I had one when I lived in Florida however living in indiana now I would have to plant in a large pot and planting properly is a process!!! Enjoy your channel!! Love the recipes. You need a jiggle siphon …. this is a tube with a marble based one way valve that you shake and it siphons the fuel. The advantage is it will take fuel from the top of the jerry jug after you let it sit so water and dirt will settle out on the bottom.

Love the video, I really like those diesel bags- great ideal. Space saving and light to carry- when empty! I am surprised that you aren’t filtering the diesel when pouring it into the tank though- unless a filter is built in to the bag. Warranty problems are with everything- even new homes- and they are stable environments. The most surprising issue is that engine coolant- I can’t wait to hear what is the cause. Although you never mentioned if you checked the oil dipstick. Better to happen early when it is covered than later when it’s coming out of your own pocket! Thankfully HH does offer a great warranty period with their builds- I have read at least.

I always expect warranty work on new to me expensive items. My first new car, 1988 Dodge Daytona base model, 2.5L 4 cyl, 5 speed with AC. It came with a bad clutch. Not sure how or why, but it did. The dealer told me they fixed it and fixed it and fixed it over the first year. They then told me I didn't know how to drive the car (yes I do) or that I was used to a hydraulic clutch and the Daytona was spring loaded. Nope and Nope. Finally, on their last shot before the car would be declared a lemon, the best tech in the dealer found the issue and they replaced the clutch. 13000 miles and 13 months. Never had another problem with the clutch over the next 5+ years and 130k miles. HH is on it and I'm sure the other product owners want their stuff working right for you too. Good luck with the repairs!! Stay safe and enjoy the time on land!!

I would think since HH has a factory in Cebu, it would make sense to go there. As far as the engine issue, it looks like it could be a water pump issue, although yours is cooled by se water, I would say a long distance diagnosis is - a leaking gasket. Somewhere. They are Moringa trees, those are the seed pods. In the Philippines they eat the leaves and also the young seed pods.

The collapsable jerry jugs are great can you add a longer hose and a valve ? Seems if the flow could be controlled you could hang the bag on the life line and open the valve? Anyway! best YT channel thanks for all the yrs of enjoyment!!!!

And include a clear inline filter/strainer so you can see how clean the fuel is.

Looks like the Moringa Tree. Very good medicinal tree. Leaves and seeds are used.

May the Wynns adventure continue - reviewing the comments I mostly agree - corrosion is like water it will take the pathway of least resistance - therefore if there is an issue every ground / sacrificial anode requires to be removed cleaned and reconnected - it’s not as easy as it sounds Good luck Cheers

Thanks for posting! Yes, coffee now is ok. Our aluminum and electric call for attending current flow fairly methodically. Cheers SV Good Karma as Grins!

A few repairs needed but, in most new anything, there is work that needs to be done to get it to the specs. you expect. Here is praying for the best and that it all comes together quickly so you are not stuck in dry dock for very long. Blessings

You could get a tank mounted in the dingy. So you would use the flexible Jerry cans to fill the dingy tank or fill it directly. Then use a transfer pump from the dingy tank to the boat. Best part is it wouldn't take up any storage space!

Hi guys, great, informative video. Love your videos and keeping my fingers crossed that you will make it to the factory for much needed warranty work on your new boat. Look 👀 forward to your next video. Take care, be safe, Dennis.

I think I'd just buy more of those collapsible jerry cans those are sweet! But if you had three more, you could have done it all in one trip (getting a trike ride back to the dinghy). You could always rig a hook or rope to hang from the rail to stabilize them as you pump them empty.
