Not onboard this old girl always a set of eyes 👀 open on the horizon 😁 definitely not easy though some nights you got to play some music and have a dance 💃
Put people to sleep? ha these are really great, interesting video's, look forward to them every day 👍I'll almost be sad to see you reach your destination, but I'll still be happy for you.
Your honesty about the pros and cons is refreshing: from the joy of boogying at 14 knots to the agony of flopping about in the windless backside of the rain front. That seemingly limitless vista in the middle of the Pacific is magical. How often do you need to run the engine for battery topoff in what appears to be mostly sunny weather?
At some point when you do sail through some adverse weather, please film it so we can see the contrast. I would love to see how you move the reefline up the leach as you take in a second reef.
I would love to see a short clip of a dark moonless starrynight with no instruments lights if you're taking requests and the camera can grasp it. Fair winds🌬
Do you know why trimarans aren't more popular? I'm guessing they have less internal habitable volume and they might be relatively more expensive to manufacture? I suppose they would also take up a lot of marina space. It would be good to see a list of pros and cons vis a vis monos and cats.
Very much enjoying these little update videos. I really want a 30 foot trailerable trimaran, like a Corsair 31 or Farrier F9. What you averaging in a day, 160Nm?
In the blows have you tried dropping the main? Because you're on a long straight course, instead of reefing you only have to adjust or leave the Genoa at 100% I've found the boat not overpressed and the autohelm works less hard.
Not sure if you’ve seen the other videos but our autopilot is working perfectly no more than 1-2 degree rudder corrections and no we won’t drop the main as we don’t have an asymmetric spinnaker to fly just yet so it’s headsail and main for the moment. In our old videos here you’ll see on the old Spirit we used to sail a lot with just an assym and reacher but it was more for ease of sailing than anything else.
