I grew up on the coast and spent my childhood in the sea and swam competitively in 2 countries . I now own a powerboat and use it whenever I can. We will be moving overseas soon and I showed my wife your video where you went ashore and bought Pizza and we are sold on buying a yacht once we arrive in our new country. The freedom to get away and with minimal cost. My best friend owns a huge Hanse yacht and he will help me in purchasing a reasonable 34ft craft. Your videos are so down to earth and so applicable. Thank you for doing these videos. You guys are amazing.

Doing my best to sell this concept of living free on the Oceans and Seas. Its hard to convince her that it is not all work. There is often items and gear that need repairing or replaced but it is not every day and night. There a re plenty of fabulously wonderful moments that enrich your mind and life or people would not be happy sailing.

PHEW.....Finally caught up having binge watched all your videos , i watch a number of sailing channels and yours is one of my favourites, im 58yrs old and also have a dream of owning a sailboat which i am in the process of making come true (something like that cheapie you showed us in Gillingham, something seaworthy with a bit of work needed cosmetically) im quite handy (jack of all trades master of none) like you Chris id rather tackle work myself rather than rely on "overly expensive professional tradesmen" gaining that self satisfaction you get when you complete a task and it works ....so satisfying. you have a really wonderful family and your humility is wonderful to see. obviously iv subscribed and eagerly look forward to your next video. fair winds to you. can you please tell Rossella its pronounced U-von no OH-von .....ha ha ........Tony from Essex UK

The thing about dreams is that many people don't get them to come true so I like to thank God for everything I have or that he will put in my way because in the end we are not in control !

We were immensely grateful (and still are) for our life and to have each other, as you are right that there are some things in life that none of us can control. However, what *is* a certainty is that if a person doesn't allow allow themselves to dream, and they cut their dreams off at source thinking "I could never achieve that." [Perhaps to avoid disappointment, or for one of a multitude of other reasons] then that person will be right: they will, as a direct result of their own thought processes, never achieve those dreams. Our minds are incredibly powerful, and we are all capable of achieving great things (we all have our own personal definitions as to what these things are). We do have to allow ourselves to imagine a better future in order for us to work towards these things though, otherwise by limiting our dreams then by doing so we are actually limiting our own future. If I could go back to a 17 year old version of myself (the year I joined the military) my one message to myself would be "Don't limit your dreams: you can achieve much more than you think you can!" and I if at least one person who watches this video gets that message and acts upon it, then I will be a happy man. Once De Havilland, then Bombardier (my former employ) now Longview Avn/ De Havilland Aircraft. CL-215 radial and CL-415 turbo prop. Great vid Chris!

Thank you, vediamo cosa possiamo fare... :-D Emma speaks mainly Italian (She understands both languages perfectly, but she mainly speaks Italian at the moment), and Rossella speaks Italian to Emma, so our future videos will naturally feature far more Italian (Which I will add subtitles to, so we don't leave our English-speaking viewers feeling like they are missing out). Hi Sara, we plan on sailing forever (we spend periods of the year on board and periods on land) rather than doing this full time for a couple of years and then going back to full time life ashore. We can sail anywhere we fancy using this approach and we can go anywhere, leaving the boat in different places as we move around different parts of the world. In the short term we want to enjoy the journey to the Mediterranean and then explore that fully before heading off anywhere further afield. Often people are in a rush to chase the horizon when there are many beautiful places within easy reach - if they just took the time to explore them... The ROV will be brilliant for getting underwater footage of interesting things along the way and we will be using it a lot, with the footage being incorporated into our future videos. Cheers! Absolutely Jacobus, by the time most of us finish our education we become very good at suppressing our dreams and conforming to what is 'expected' of us from society. Us adults could learn a lot from children in this respect. All of the great things that humans have accomplished began as dreams - ones which people decided to pursue rather than suppress.
