One of the best episodes yet. I’ve watched them all. Good to see your raising well rounded kids, their generation has some difficult challenges ahead…. I wish the whole world could raise their kids without formal education, I think the world would be a better place.
My school didn't have a climbing wall, a diving pool, hairdressing lessons, boat maintenance, we weren't allowed much choice of subjects or did we visit geographical wonders of the world, our marine biology lesson was tadpoles in a bucket, our sports was hurling or football and our swimming was a visit to a pool only once ever ! We didn't have snorkeling, surfing, scuba diving or fishing, We didn't have girls in our school and the teacher had a big stick !! (and wasn't afraid to use it) I have to agree that if the environment is pleasant then the lessons are far more effective .............. Stay Safe & Fair Winds !!
Great insight, thanks for sharing. Nice to see the other faces behind the scenes, well done Ladies. I remember meeting a 5 year old girl in Cairns once off a sailing vessel with her Mum and Dad. Such a bright young person, who held her own in conversations and was such a genuine person. A more pure form of who someone is seems to be the result of education... offshore.
There is no such thing as FOMO for you guys. Fun times in a completely unique location, make sure to keep up all your positive vibe crew, it’s so refreshing to watch. All the best!
Another amazing, exciting and of course, on the hair cutting edge. Stage groovy and stay safe. P.S. The jumping from that cliff was insane, and pretty cool.
as a non surfer, in the UK. those shots looked weirdly wonderful ...crystal clear water fore and aft, with the boards just shooting along. You wouldn't get that in the North Sea. Well done Bella and Ally, you being worried about heights makes that jump even more impressive. Home schooling hmm never saw my teachers hitting the Margarita's after lessons, although tupperware had just started and they seemed to have a lot of it in the staffroom ha ha ha. Loving the vids.
Haha, following the haircuts it looks like its happy new ears for all the boys. As for boat life education, I firmly believe that you could take any of those boat kids and they would be at a higher level than their land school based peers in maths, science and communications and probably practical subjects such as engineering, home ed (cooking) etc because they are not being force fed like battery hens, they are absorbing their learning as they are immersed in their subjects subliminally all the time. You only have to watch the way they interact with each others, other people they meet and listen to how they talk. 9 to 3 classroom learning isn't a panacea for all things.
bruh, i met some "unschooled" kids in Hawaii and they ended up in menial low paying jobs because they lacked education. if left up to me to decide my own education, my only two subject would've been girls and more girls & there's no way in hell i would've gone to college and then got a white collar job and met an educated woman to marry. no intelligent woman is going to marry a guy with no formal education. i feel sorry for them because they aren't going to have the tools they need to make it out in the real world if they don't have a proper education. just my 2 cents and if you don't agree then: ....................../´¯/) ....................,/¯../ .................../..../ ............./´¯/'...'/´¯¯`·¸ ........../'/.../..../......./¨¯\ ........('(...´...´.... ¯~/'...') .........\.................'...../ ..........''...\.......... _.·´ ............\..............( ..............\.............\...
@@CTChipmunk awfully sorry old chap but your reply really makes very little sense as you appear to contradict yourself. Your opening statement appears to imply that kids who have not been formally schooled will end up doing menial jobs, then you follow this up by appearing to indicate that you didn't want to go to college as you were pre occupied thinking about girlies. Presumably only thinking about girlies as you follow this up with an indication that women are not attracted to uneducated men. However you do somewhat redeem yourself with an interesting graphical representation of the finger you presumably scratch your bum hole with whilst looking at girls on adult websites. Good luck with your life choices old bean I’m sure that the ‘unschooled’ boat kids will do just fine :-)
Well done tera! I know how hard that would have been for her haha looks like an amazing time guys. One of these days I'm going to come hang out with you all!! 💙
The obvious plus with homeschooling is not having to put up with the opinions, feelings and politics of teachers poisoning the minds of your precious children and of course they learn to learn not just have information shoved down their throats. Where possible I fully recommend homeschooling. Keep your children as far from the reach of the state as possible.
The best education u can give your kids at the moment is the one your living, covid and lock down free , keep going until u can't, Lee look out for indians
